Now I am regretting trading in my retail copy, with how absolutely broken the digital download I got from Games with Gold is.
I have tried everything people have mention when I searched google.
I have tried multiple HDDs, formatting HDDs, clearing the HDD cache up to fives time in a row before retrying the game, license transfer, a different Xbox 360, reinstalling dashboard updates, playing without an internet connection (outright refuses to let me boot the game) playing from a flash drive, playing from flashdrive with no HDD, starting a new game save, redownloaded the game like 3 or 4 times.
It’s just broken.
Anyone else know what I can do to fix this?

Yeah, thanks turn 10. Leave a games on demand game unfixed since release, then don’t even bother to support the people who can’t get it to work.
I guess I will just have to go buy another used copy from Gamestop, infact, I should probably start buying all Turn 10 games this way if they aren’t going to provide any support for their customers.

Im not even sure that will work … it is sad we cant download a thing even with the season pass i got BEFORE the end of life …it was broken a month before it ended …If a hard copy works let me know

That’s a quite interesting story you have there.
You said you tried different consoles and different storage devices. It’s hard to believe the issue is related to your account/gamertag, but to something else. Because you’ve tried off-line too, right. With a local gamertag without live account.
And also tried something simple like copying the download to an empty storage device too, to avoid doubts regarding the download file.
I hope you solve this problem, because if that happened to me I would be desperate!
First thing I think is about the data on the HD, because people often delete and copy/download new stuff all the time and for years, and some don’t realize the Xbox does not defrag it’s disk. A large download file scattered throghout the disc may lead to an error like that, but if you already tried with an empty storage device, the file should be corrupted it seems.
Yeah, but like I said, I formatted the HDD once, redownloaded the game, and it still did the same thing, it would give the error right before it loaded into the actual game no matter what storage device the game was loaded from, whether it be a freshly formatted 320GB HDD, a 20GB HDD I haven’t used in half a decade, or a 8GB flash drive (also freshly formatted).
The digital download for the 360 is just broke. Plain an simple
And Turn 10 refuses to fix it, just like they are dragging their feet fixing the Season Pass issues.
Well to be honest I’m using the digital game to play, downloaded once in a 60 GB HD.
Also my sister plays on her console with the digital game downloaded once in a 500 GB HD.
If my download was showing such problems I would try to download using another ISP for example. You could try connecting to your mobile if the size doesn’t hurt your data plan.
Also, and easier, can’t you copy with a memory unit from a friend? You console already have the license it seems.
