I click horizon 2, i wait, press A to start, it loads telling me stats, it then spawns me in a ford truck it gave me at storm island hub, the oil rigs in the background move for half a sec, the game freezes, dashboard goes slow then 5-10 seconds later game closes and thats it…
Any fixes?
Have you tried a hard reboot of your console? If that doesn’t help can you try to reinstall the game.
I have deleted and redownloaded horizon 2, it then worked fine without the dlc, but when i download dlc again it spawns me not where i was before i downloaded again, but in the previous spot and i freeze at the hub again 
Microsoft offered me a refund but i would rather have the problem fixed, not just paid to ignore it pretty much
I’m having the same problem, I downloaded storm island played the intro race and then shut off my console. When I tried to play again, it world load and the game would freeze with me in the ford truck, then boot me out to the dashboard. I’ve tried re installing the main game and it works fine without the storm island dlc but whenever I try to go to storm island now it freezes once I get to the dlc area forcing me to uninstall it to continue to play the main game.

did you do a hard reset of the console, even pull the power cable out
i’ve found that this solves most issues people have had with the Xbone…it has fixed almost every issue I’ve had so far…except the faulty disk drive
Yes i tried that, the problem is the place it spawns me required either too much ram or too much cpu usage, to it works for milli seconds then laggs out, freezes and closes, also making the dash laggy for the next few seconds
if you shut it done properly it should spawn you at a car meet
I hovered over forza, clicked quit, then held the power button for 10 seconds, unplugged it, plugged it back in again, still freezes
I then quit forza, deleted my save game, turned xbox off and pulled power out, turned it on and synced my data, frozen again
I could restart from scratch as that supposedly works, but the amount of hours i have put into this game, im not going to lose it without atleast some compensation
I tried the same unstalled forza unstalled dlc hard boot held the power button reinstalled forza reinstalled storm island and it still freezes at the same car meet if I play without dlc it freezes when I leave a car meet
I really hope they fix this. I have the same issue as you guys and really dont want to start my game over.
My roommate had the same issue. He just went into the my games and apps section and uninstalled just the storm island dlc. Everything works fine now. Sucks but I guess it’s a temporary fix until there is an update. Luckily I waited!
I deleted storm island, now it spawns me in my starter car at a car meet (a supra) but when i go to garage to change cars, i freeze
