Gallium Racing School

So I want to know if any of you have done it. I have ForzaTune 6 which I absolutely love. However, this somehow seems scamish to me and I want to know if anyone else has hashed out the 20 to 30 dollars for it.

If you don’t know what I am talking about it is an online racing school designed to help you fine tune your racing line. As well as help you in other racing games as well.
https://galliumracingschool.com

If you know better sources of this kind of information please let me know. Cause I always find myself with raceboy tunes but I can never get the racing lines down. I can do the “normal” line but late apex’s is what I am currently practicing and braking and shifting are always a problem for me. I practice a lot just looking for some edge I guess.

It doesnt look like a scam, but please dont waste your money on something like that. All the information you need can be found in the game watching replays and on youtube. JSR Devon’s channel has a few videos pertaining to specific tracks as well as things about assists. Raceboy also has some videos about the racing line. It just takes practice, the fastest racers have all been playing for years expecially amongst themselves constantly challenging eachother to be faster. You might never reach their level, but you could certainly learn a few thing’s by racing their ghosts. Watch their replays, see when they brake, when they turn, and how soon they get on the gas. A tune is only as good as the driver who uses it, its not going to make you be as fast as raceboy lol.

I purchased the video pack and as of today have not completely finished watching them but enjoyed the ones I have watched. I also should point out that I purchased early and it was 1/2 price for me so for if I remember correctly 15 dollars I feel it was worth it and I have permanent access to all the videos. I like the fact that they are all in one place and labeled for what you are looking for to see. Not sure how much it will help me but that is not the videos fault but my lack of racing talent. LOL

You guys are nuts lol

It’s all about time. The more time you spend on the game the better you will become.

Stuff you have to pay for like this makes me frustrated. I often think I should do this but there’s no way I would since I’m not that kind of person. I much rather put stuff out there for free use and if people want to support, that’s up to them.

If you’d like, drop by my stream and ask some questions, I’m always happy to help. Also, as stated before, there’s some decent stuff on my YouTube channel to help with some of the things you’ve mentioned.

Ultimately it comes to practice and learning the right ways. There’s lots of people who will play for years but never get better because they’re doing stuff wrong and surrounding themselves with people of their skill or lower. Run with faster people, practice right and you’ll find yourself going faster.

FYI: I facepalm to anyone who mentions Forza Tune. It’s simple to learn to tune better than that app ever could.

Sorry Snowowl, I was just trying to answer OdorousBag’s question and meant no harm with my post. I really was not trying to promote or complain about the said videos. I never meant to toy with the rules with my post.

Thanks a lot for the quick replies. Yeah this is why I post in forums, something “sounds” good. But I want to be informed before I make a purchase. I also never said that the tune would make me better. I just use Raceboy’s tune.

But yeah, pretty much I was looking to hone my skills rather than go from noob to hero lol. Should of worded this better. That is also why I asked if there were better resources out there.

Secondly, holy crap, raceboy replied on this, I’m honored, in a way. But yeah I love your twitch stream, watch when I can.

As for tuning, never could get that skill to stick. I have watched youtube videos before from the likes of Stella Stig, Raceboy, Moneyman. I know all the good ones. I also watch a little bit of Fialrace. I got the upgrade order down.

For me the forza tune app is like the breaking line. Yeah you can follow it but you are not going to get quicker by following it to a t. I use it more for vehicle placement than anything. With the tune I just use to find where I need to be at and then adjust from there.

I agree OdorousBag, When I use a tuning guide it is to give me a base to start with and adjust to my liking. I usually use tunes from PTG, Raceboy, and several others but sometimes I would like to adjust the gearing or other things just a bit and with using others tunes I am not able to do this as they are locked ( unless open sourced ). Like several have said the guide is not perfect but it does give a base to work with.
I don’t have that much time especially in the summer to play so when I do have time I want to race not spend it tuning cars for hours so it helps me. I am not consistent enough to run laps and know if my adjustments I made with tunes are good or bad if I try to do the entire tune myself. Some laps will be better and some not so much but that goes with each adjustment. Tuning is something I just can’t grasp and usually make one thing better but make 3 things worse in the process. Then try to fix one of them and make 3 more things worse and in no time at all everything is messed up and I have no idea how to fix any of it plus now have a headache. I will never be super fast so the guides are nice for me. The tuners like the PTG gang are just remarkable and I love their tunes!!! I can download them and go race in 5 minutes and I know they are going to be great. PTG Tyler also tunes for a wheel and me having the same wheel is wonderful. On those rare occasions where I want to get a little more accel off the corners ( because I can’t keep my speed up as much as the faster drivers ) I then tinker with the gearing and to do this I can either ask Tyler to adjust it for me or try to use the guide and then adjust the gearing. Yes I know it will not be as solid of a tune as what PTG Tyler will have but at least I can adjust it at my increments and as often as I need. That’s why I use the guide and enjoy it.
As far as the guide videos I wanted to have a nice neat package that I can refer to as often as I wanted to all in one place and that gives it to me. I would probably have bought it even if I didn’t own Forza as I like that sort of thing because I can use the info even for my daily driving just not as aggressive. LOL The principles will work everywhere.
Yes I know Raceboy and many others have great info out there for free but I thought that it would be nice to have it all in one place and titled for whatever I am looking fo at that time.
Happy racing to you all

I bought the Forzatune app for my phone and was not really impressed same as I wasn’t too impressed with the previous free version in FM4. I was using Forza Tuning Labs spreadsheet before and had much better results with it but due to T10 omitting information that Tuning Labs needed the author chose not to continue into FM5-6.

There is a video series being posted at ppsmasters.enjin.com discussing racecraft and its… free! Its no complete as the guy doing it is posting in installments but he’s already 5-6 episodes out already. Theres also a free tuning app web page at BG55.com that seems to do just as well as a paid app and its free for now too.

Been trying to get in that for a year, now I know why… bit of a rip-off, reckoning that it’s mostly a bunch of info that’s laying around scatterd all over the web…
just search Iracing on youtube free and real usefull…

There is an awful lot of quality information available for free. Here are a few links I have posted in the past. YouTube channels for Raceboy77, Skip Barber Racing School and The Racing Line are just a few of the good ones. I suggest searching for what you are looking for, then applying it in your practice, in rivals mode.

The only thing I can’t seem to find is How To Avoid or Overcome the Over Aggressive Drivers. No matter how much you practice, there will always be those drivers who can’t seem to be competitive without bumping, pushing, punting and side swiping to gain and maintain the lead.
If you run across anything to help with THAT, I would be very interested in the link.
Enjoy good clean racing!

^ This x1000. That’s a lot of good information, I’ll have to watch the skip barber vid myself later to refine myself even more.

As for the overagressive drivers, here’s the vids I used to learn how to deal with them.

Thank you Old Hippie, Inwill look at these later tonight after work.

It is always my pleasure to provide information and promote links to free information that can help folks become faster and cleaner players.
I am always searching for new stuff too. So if you run across something good, I would appreciate the link.

Someday, I plan on becoming competitive too.

Peace
