Probably not the right forum but i do not know where elese to ask.
Is it wrong to turn a gaming steering wheel fast? For instance in rally races where you need twitchy movements and fast control to keep the car in place?
I am asking because after doing that in blizzard mountain with 40% ffb i had to send my first logitech g920 back because it kept making a screeching noise. Got the replacement and I think it is will do the same. Not sure if this is because of me, Forza or the wheel itself…
Thanks.
I’m not too sure. I have had 2 of these wheels. The first I had to send back because it was screeching brand new out the box. And I’ve had this second one for little over a month and it’s doing the same thing but not as loud. I personally think it’s just a problem with the wheel generally and not how you use it. I don’t even use it that much and when I do it’s only for casual cruising.
If I was you, and if you can, I’d save a bit of money and head towards a thrustmaster tx wheel. From what I have read, the FFB is alot better and the wheel itself is quieter. Plus you can change to a bigger rim if you wanted. It all depends on how much you want to spend really.
Hope this helps in some way
I have the Thrustmaster TX and have no problems at all, sounds more like the Logitec is having problems, turning the wheel a lot like in rally should not cause any problems.
Happy to see it’s not only be, a bit disappointed seeing logitech make such low quality products. Thanks for the help guys, I will most likely ask for a refund for my second wheel and get a thrustmaster 500.
