G27 not being recognised but works in other games

Hi there,

I’m regularly using my G27 for other racing games (AC, RaceRoom, rFactor2… You know) but it won’t work on FM7 for some reason. I’m also using the TH8A with the G27 and tried unplugging that before starting the game but no luck. The game does not pick up the device at all it seems. For example, when I select the G27 profile in the controller options of FM7 it just reads “unknown device: Axis 3”. Does anyone of you know how I could fix this issue? I’d really like to try out the game with my wheel once because driving on a controller has been “meh” so far.

Have you tried doing a custom mapping with the wheel? I would also suggest doing a clean driver install, since the wheel is not being recognised in the game correctly

I know the G27 profiler needs to be run with Win 7 compatibility for profiles to work flawlessly

I’ll try out your suggestions once I hook up the wheel again-- that’ll be in a few days time.

Okay, so I tried re-installing the game as well as the drivers and it still is not working. Any other ideas?

Alright so I tried both your tips, re-installing the drivers and I also attempted to re-install the game but both didn’t seem to help. The game still doesn’t recognise the wheel’s buttons nor inputs.
