The fact that forza 5 limits the amount of tandeming due to no user created races means that points drifting is getting more popular. This means tandem drifting is getting less popular therefor tandem drifters are trying to bring back tandemers and this is one of the ways to do that. Hopefully for horizon 2 people will do both point drift in races and tandems in open world online

Thatās how these forums work. When you have players that play the game, mod the forums, and have an insider at T10, they can pretty much act with impunity. Itās unfortunate really. Some of the biggest tools on these forums are mods or the mega popular forza players. They shall remain nameless but they know who they are.
My favorite is when they start an argument, and then end it with a snide comment and then lock the thread. What a professional group of mods we haveā¦ Not all are bad, but there are enough brown leafs to spoil the whole bag of lettuce.

Iām still so new to drifting, I canāt truthfully say which way I go in this ādebateā. My initial goal for it is/was points-based, just trying to earn enough for the California Drifter achievement (Iām one of those annoying OCD completionists)ā¦ but spending much of last night with a bunch who were drifting for tandem and just for the fun and challenge of making a good run close to one another, I saw what that was about and will be likely to do that again in the future.
I see the point of both sides, going for points is a quantifiable way to brag about your abilities, but thereās also the fun of just making a few laps with buddies and trying to achieve that perfect drift.
The game is yours, you bought it, play it however you feel like doing it. If you want to score points and find it more fun then do it, if you want to tandem and find it more fun then do that.
Be you. Forget what everyone else wants you to be because thatās how āthey like itā. For the record, I donāt like doing either but I am not you.

I couldnāt agree more with this from Worm the points vs tandem discussion has been here on these forums time and time again and itās saddening how much some people act on the subject even in this very thread though it is a lot tamer then others Iāve seen and have had to deal with. My point is to enjoy the game the way you want to play it not how everyone is. If points is your thing then do that there isnāt anything wrong with it and the same goes for tandem drifting.
The forums or people in these forums shouldnāt have much control over how you go about playing your game. It is a video game after all and is meant to be fun.
Well. This has been the most interesting 10 minutes of my life reading this thread.
I am going to agree on what some of you have said about how this tandem vs points discussion has gotten out of hand. Do whatever the hell you feel like doing as it is all up to you. Naming and shaming about other peopleās beliefs and opinions based on a discussion that has been resolved time and time again doesnāt help in any way, which this thread I suppose was purposely designed to do. The main goal of the game is the goal you set first, whether it be learning to drift or complete the F1 series in career mode. Play the game as to how you wish to play it. I cannot emphasis it enough, so much that prior to posting this, one or more moderators had to have inspected this thread and clean the garbage people post. Fine example: TG Wormburner: Guy knows what heās doing.
For those who wish to carry this out. Please feel free to PM the people who you think are causing a problem with you and sort it out in a peaceful manner. We do not wish to have arguments in the drift lounge getting out of hand and having to resort to Mods (at worst) bring the hammer down due to people whinging and moaning about a petty topic previously discussed and resolved.

i never really get trollls in the forums, thatād just be sad if it happened, and id tell those trolls to go play outside, but to add my point to this thread, if you ever start gettin trolled in a points hopper be sure to have a friend or 2, that way if you do start gettin trolled, i hate to say it, but you have to beat them at their own game of trolls it seems, i know that in a RWD drift lobby there are no restrictions except for the fact that its RWDā¦ but cmon, it does get a little frustrating when there is x class indy cars, e21, mclaren P1, la ferrari, no one drifts something thats in P class , but of course, nothing is going to be done about this so us complaining really has no relevance in any game changing updatesā¦ boo

I think it is also due to the tunes that points drifters and tandem drifters have are different and this causes arguments
Hahaha tried it before. Within the first 2 turns your mind picks a side even if youāre dead set on doing both, to big of a gap and itās "man that car is to fast, trying to chase him isnāt worth it in a points run(chase car) or āman that car canāt keep up, not worth slowing down in a points run(lead car)ā but that first slight door tap(not even enough to take away points) and that excitement/ little bit of nervousness kicks in and itās āman I need to stay right here and try not to hit this car(chase car)ā or āman I need to go faster and not let this car pressure me into making a mistake/spin(lead car)ā and when that happens you could care less about anything else thatās going on.
