Just came back to the game after about a month and saw it’s offline too, at times at least. Currently trying to claim my rewards but it’s just constantly loading 
Probably another issue related to the Forza servers. Connecting to them has been a pain initially when you boot the game up for a week. Great time for it to happen when they offer a free weekend to tempt people to buy the game. 
This may be the problem, alot of new people playing maybe? I have noticed rivals is up and down and I cannot connect to multiplayer. I am in the USA and I have a few friends in the EU playing online.who knows.
EU, US and on all platforms are effected according to people I’ve spoken to. Forza Horizon 2 had a multiplayer meltdown when it appeared on games with gold so it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s part of the problem here. I am certain I was getting this issue a few days before the offer but still, it can’t be helping the situation and after recent events surely ensuring a stable experience would be key promoting your game.
Looking at the times on the leaderboards since the update it is troubling how miniscule the player base is right now. Turn 10 really needed to nail it on a free weekend. Too bad really as first impressions are key.

My #Forzathon just died here in the UK at 7:45pm while I was collecting 250K Credits which never arrived!
No Rivals or ForzaRC or Auction House or Speciality Dealer as they say the Microsoft servers are down.
Bit of a downer as I was enjoying myself too!

My only day off for 2 weeks and I can’t play multiplayer or forzathon, Every day it seems like something else is wrong, I’m done wasting my time on this bull&#!t

I just closed the game and reopened it, and Forzathon and the other features are available again.

I just closed the game and reopened it, because my Forzathon rewards were stuck on loading, and now my Forzathon and other features are offline.

Forzathon yes. Multiplayer no.
Seems to be a bit hit and miss for me at the moment,managed to get the forzathon award for 5 multiplayer races then i wasnt able to connect to the server.I`ll give it another whirl tomorrow.
The servers are acting up today.
I spent a lot of time in rivals mode to get a good time and when I returned to the menu it said “no server connection”, and it didn’t save my time.
I was happy that they finally fixed the game after all these months, but now nearly 1 year after the release it became unplayable again.
Also Forzathon is switching between online/offline all the time.
Hopefully this is just a temporary issue.
Can’t play online or view forzathon challenges.
And here’s me playing without any issue as usual lol

the servers have been bad all week + they need to fix bugs with some cars also but they wont whats new
I have to agree, servers have been terrible for over a week now; I just restarted FM7 for a second time tonight, and now everything’s working right again, prior to the restart I finished a rivals run and the servers just went unavailable.
I have been trying to play the FORZATHON most of today ( Saturday 1st September 2018). When i try and claim it says " Claiming your #forzathon rewards. please wait". Then after about 5 minutes it now says " FAILED TO CLAIM YOUR #FORZATHON REWARDS, TRY AGAIN LATER". But this has been doing this all day and i can’t even play the other races in the forzathon. What is happening with this
