Forza Rivals Challenges

I knew you would do it :+1: You don’t need my tune

Good creative lines, I was a bit more aggressive on the first right after the up hill part, almost touching the tree on the left.
Maybe I should try and start using breaks..

I correct a lot with the brake on a wet surface just to keep the car straight.

Every time I tried without braking, the car started to float.

Did you know that we named our tunes exactly the same? I went to write it down, typed in the name and went to get yours and there was the same name. B680 CHALLENGE LOL

Unfortunately I had to leave the computer but I will be driving tomorrow morning

lol, yes I saw that after too… great minds think alike

Gave you tune a run out yesterday, straight after running mine, and I found them very similar in their ability and gearing. (I almost forgot I had changes tunes)
Both are close to sliding but at different points of the track, although I felt yours had slightly more grip over all.

After one run with your tune, I managed a 1.02.395 (using brakes)

I know I could improve a bit on that as i’m on average making one mistake per lap, annoyingly in different places every time lol. Nice tune though :+1:

Something else I noticed… I have 10 more HP than you, and I couldn’t figure out why, turns out I had installed some valves, probably to use up the PI :man_shrugging:

Bentley Turbo R S1, upgraded from C Is a disappointing 5000 pound tub of understeer.

On the Horizon Mexico track, I got the Chevy El Camino C to S1 to within 2.4s of my PRST rival there, the closest I had gotten previously was 1.1s so it’s not terrible. There are a lot of engine options. The 6.2L @ 1000HP got me the closest. Stock engine tuned @ 750HP handled well but 2s slower.

I haven’t been here in a while; I’ve been too busy playing Forza lately.

I’ll share the results that were supposed to be posted on Monday, along with the next challenge.

Congratulations to everyone on their results, of course.

I always wonder when I look at their prices—are these prices driven by quality? Or maybe they’re showing us how much a car should actually cost, without being artificially fueled by big corporations.

Hi guys, sorry if i’ve been quiet lately.. still settling into my new postition at work but it’s going well so far, just been having to work the weekends too but all good now.

Congratz on the wins in the last challenge Chevy, strong driving as always.

Gave this new one a go yesterday for an hour or so… not as easy as it sounds to improve on a previous time. I tried all 4 cars available to me and finished about 2 seconds behind my standing time, so from me, it will probably be a screenshot of my final time.

Good luck guys.

I went back to Lago Blanco and tried Chevy’s Chevy 150 and went faster than I did in the AMX. Getting a feel for how it was set up I re-tuned the Impala I thought should have been my fastest and went faster again, moving up 500 places.

And in the Japanese cars I got this great bonnet view with popup headlights.

I feel you on that. With my new business and another project I have been working on, i have worked everyday this year. Yesterday was my 1st day off since January 1st. Hope everything is working out for you at the new job. I wish grinding in real life was as easy as grinding in forza lol. I would be rich by this point

Hello, I think we’ve all had a busy period lately, which reflects some of the challenges afterwards. I didn’t have time to choose the right cars for the route and I made a mistake. If you don’t mind there, I’ll announce a new challenge tomorrow. Tonight (now I have morning) I’ll be at the computer for more than 30 minutes.

Sorry again

@GlamPotatoStar - Nice improvement, I never tried either the Impala or the Chevy 150, kinda got stuck in a rut with the Buick, convincing myself it would go faster but I think I got as much out of it as I could. Good car though.

@CRW209 - I hear that buddy, sounds as manic as my life right now. I think the saying goes “what ever doesn’t kill you, only makes you stronger”. Well, you best start calling me Hercules

@ChevyChase13 - No need for apologies, i’m more than happy to continue with this one and post a screenshot of my time.
I see you were a couple of seconds ahead, have you managed to get close to your time with a Chinese car ? - It could just be me and my “so called” tuning.

Ax, A good sortable list of the cars including by class is here: Cars | Forza Wiki | Fandom

I decided to try my 2 favorite C to A cars as C to S1. The Starion and the 96 Impala SS. Neither one did the job but I’ve got some Czechvar to pour and a music shuffle that has yet to let me down. I got myself a Cadillac but I can’t afford the gasoline - AC/DC Down Payment Blues

Hey guys, I hope everything’s okay with you. I also hope spring is in your sights too (I realize we live somewhere completely different). I’ve been neglecting my Forza activity lately because I have a ton of other things to do, talking to clients, etc., generally nothing interesting

I’ll post the results tomorrow (unfortunately, I probably won’t have time to take a screenshot). My last time in Wuling (slicks, 6.2 engine, rollcage, 6TM, basically a monster) was 0.7 seconds slower than my time in the VW Golf. That’s all I remember.

It’s getting harder and harder to choose new challenges, so if you have any ideas, please post them here or just organize a challenge; any of them would make me happy!

Now I’ve found a route where everyone should sign up for the Class C and Class B leaderboards.

So:

Cruce Del Valle
Class C - any Toyota
Class B - ? (whoever gives us an idea, we’ll do it)

I remember back when there was a monthly challenge in the D-class stock car. You know, a long straightaway, the gearbox screaming in 4th gear, a full 99 km/h, and I had my playlist playing in the background. The next song was Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song”—that song, D-class (you pray it’s downhill)—it was instantly faster
