A little over two years and I’m diving back into FM2023 and gotta say there’s definite progress! There is one particular area that is just terrible - and in need of another option for users - and that is in downloading liveries. Talk about needlessly tedious!
There are so many talented painters in the community with a ton of liveries to choose from … and the method we’re using is to search, find, and download - one at a time - only to go back to search and have to type the gamertag name all over again for the next livery. Not even an option to choose your last-typed string, as is possible in FH5. And no share code? That’s preposterous.
My idea for a fix is this - why not develop a companion app that can be used, either from a PC or phone, where search is more intuitive, and if the mood strikes, as it so often does with me, to download every livery made by a particular exceptionally talented and thorough painter (I’m looking at you, ZR FabRx!) it would be possible by selecting multiples by putting a check box next to each livery and downloading in one fell swoop.
Certainly the technology exists. I can purchase games from my phone and download them to my linked console without ever turning it on. Why can I not also do this with liveries? And tunes, even?
With the system as it currently sits, you can literally spend HOURS simply searching for and downloading liveries, which leaves precious little time for those of us with a job and life outside gaming to actually see your car out on track sporting its fresh paint job.
Someone who is adept at coding could likely do this, as long as T10 allowed it. What say you, community?
