Forza Insiders Program launch

The difficulty in typing that, just to emphasize something quote marks and italics could do in less than half the time is “amazing”!

Also consider that there are other racing titles on Steam that would pull away from the pool of potential players. As of writing this…

  • Assetto Corsa - 13,888 playing 9 minutes ago.
  • Assetto Corsa Competizione - 4.316 playing 9 minutes ago.
  • Automobilista 2 - 825 playing an hour ago.
  • RaceRoom Racing Expierence - 1,001 playing 5 minutes ago
  • rFactor 2 - 617 plaing an hour ago.

Forza Motorsport had 651 players on Steam at the time of writing this… Honestly, its numbers are kind of in line with RF2 and not too far off of AMS2’s.

Sorry mate but at the risk of sounding stupid youve lost me.

As mentioned before, the FM is a Gamepass game. None of the games you listed are in Xbox Gamepass.

Many more people play the game on Gamepass and Xbox. So again, the Steam numbers are not representative of this game. I know this because, for example, Starfield is also the same Day1 GP title, and for that game you can see how many people play with Mods on the Creations official site. Now, if you look at the most popular Mods, you can see that they are played by millions and on Xbox 3-4 times as many as on PC. But if we add these numbers together, we see that there are MUCH more people playing the game than the Steam numbers show.

All the games in Day1 GP are primarily played by people in GP.

I can’t enter the insider program private forums, I get this message: Oops! That page doesn’t exist or is private.
I already registered and closed section in the forums to start section again

Hi @SnugBrush838381 . Do these:
1- try refreshing the page.
2- if the 1st solution didn’t work, sign out and the sign in again.
WARNING :warning:: remember your password and email before doing this solution.
Also, remember not break NDA terms and do not leak any upcoming features.
Thank you

Right. And I was also adding another point why one shouldnt base FM23’s health solely on Steam’s metric. All players are not represented because its not a subscription accessed title in Steams’s player numbers, and amonst the niche titles FM23 is competing against, it number of players are amongst the lowest performing titles.

Nothing I wrote was a counter point.

Why go through the effort to write “tHiS”, when writing “this” is quicker, easier to type, easier to read and gets the same point across.

I agreed with you. :slightly_smiling_face:

This (did it even work? Edit: it did!) takes a lot longer than tHiS to type on my cellphone. I have to use html tags to get a word in italics.

I take it you are using a pc? If not, how do you italicize a word quickly? I’m curious to know, as I never use a pc to visit the forum.

Edit 2: I loathe tHiS kInD oF tYpIng, but it’s faster on (at least my) a cellphone than italicizing.

I mostly ues my phone too. But I believe I am in some sort of MS Edge based web explorer mode. A lot of the functions I see on PC are present. So to italicize, I tap the italic “I”, and then place what I want to write at the prompt.

I also wonder if writing after placing two stars would work.

Testing

Sometimes MS sites work like that.

Yup. “Star” text “star” works great. Itallics just got easier. Thanks for having me to try it out.

Looking to see what the actual name of the * symbol is.

Asterisk! I forgot what an astetisk is. LOL…

Sorry anyone knows why everything is locked for me on insiders forums?

Have you tried signing out and signing in on Forza forums account ? I had to sign out and re-sign on every device before got access.

I tried that didn’t work but i will give it another go, Tnx.

Didn’t work for me go to the normal forum and logout make sure your logout then log back in worked for me don’t do it on the insider page won’t work

This forum is already very rich in information about what needs to be improved in Forza Motorsport, but the truth is that it is not working. Everything we have asked for here has never been a priority for implementation in the game.

If this Insider program is the form of communication that will make our requests and complaints be met, then we have to at least try. Then we can “rub it in Turn10’s face” that we did everything to be heard, but it seems that there is no one there to listen.

For example, the pit lane exits have been broken since the game was released and have not yet been fixed. Something so ridiculously easy to fix, just release the car under the player’s control 5 meters before and no one will even notice the difference, and that will eliminate the problem.

I may be the most cynical on the forums at this point, but I suspect they probably need testers as the number of QA allocated to them has reduced. They can also claim to have a loyal base of ‘insiders’ when selling our time to Gilette, Jordan and whatever other un-related to motorsport tie-in they can monetise.

Not to mention - an army of loyal forum ‘insiders’ to shut down any legitimate complaints about the state of affairs. This forum was already polarized, now those people with an ‘insider’ badge have got extra ‘credentials’ with which to shut down other peoples voices.

I share your cynicism. I very highly doubt the insiders program has anything to do with getting players suggestions on what to add. They will get to test certain things that have already been decided on by turn 10. They may be asked for their opinion on what they tested, but make no mistake unless theres something overwhelmingly negative, whatever they test will go straight into the game anyway.

While there are some positives to allowing random people to be in the insider program, it would be more viable if certain types of players were selected. For instance, i don’t drift, i will never be interested in doing it no matter how its implemented. Even if i was to try out a drift mode, I would be the last person to ask about it in any way.

I think a program like this could/would have been more effective if it started before release and continued through the first year. Going into the second year and starting something like this seems quite useless, unless as you said they are down on testers which is most likely the case.

There is no doubt in my mind it will be forgotten about in a few months and anybody who asks what happened to the insider program will get flamed by the rest of the forum for being ‘NeGAtiVe ToXIC wHiNinG UngRatefUl ChILDreN’
