Let me first start off my saying racing games are my favorite, and Forza USE to be my ultimate go to.

We all know sounds are horrible in this game, the Viper’s sound is easily the worse in the game’s history. I just logged in today and fancied a bit of v8 rumble, I picked a Maserati Gran Turismo only to find that it sounds like a watered down F430, [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D] This car has one of the most aggressive and soulful tones in V8 history. I would make a list of all the cars that sound accurate but help me please as I cam struggling to find any even with this [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D] list.

Why in the world would you change game sound files when they were better before? Every time you people release a new version the sound gets steadily worse. This is coming from a person who loved Forza Motorsport 4, I’d still play it if I didn’t sell my Xbox. That game felt crafted very well. Why give us a bajillion cars when they all sound like crap?

Drag racing is a joke in this game 100%, no countdown, and no 1/2 or 1 mile tarmac drag. Why didn’t you give us a 1 mile drag like you did in 3? The runway is stupidly curvy and full of traffic to do any racing. The beach and ice drags are useless and same for the crappy bumpy [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D] runway. And none of them have run-offs either for a kicker. This is just an overview of problems, I will never ever buy another Forza title until they can prove to me that they are worthy of my money.

Giving us lazy [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D] games and still expecting us to buy it is a huge insult to our intelligence. UNINSTALLED for EVER.

I could go on but why? Forza clearly don’t care nor do they listen because every title just gets worse. Well guess what? I’m not paying for it anymore.

They share parts, but engine sound isn’t all about the engine. Don’t forget the muffler. The sound engineers definitely made the maserati sound deeper, while the F430 is more high pitched, which fits the characteristics. The sounds are worse, he’s right. I can’t understand why they couldn’t import the sounds of old iterations into new games. This must be the easiest part in comparison to carmodels or am I wrong?

Holy moly, I agree with 1% of what the OP said (the drag racing part mostly) but you apologists manage to be even worse.

It’s you who should be doing the searching BTW (I suggest “V8 crankshaft flat vs cross plane” as a starting point). Hopefully you realize then why the Maserati is completely wrong in this game, and why it was alright in FH3 (in fact it was great).

A number of Maseratis and Ferraris have variants of the Ferrari F136 engine. Maseratis have cross-plane crankshafts, while the Ferraris have flat-plane crankshafts.

The F430 Scuderia’s sound is (relatively) correct. The Maserati’s sound is the same, and completely incorrect. A number of V8 sounds in other cars would be a better match.

I’m done with it. So sick of having to engine swap and switch to AWD to be competitive. Sick of waiting forever to find games with a friend. And yeah, the majority of engine sounds are just awful.
