So, lets talk about another manufacturer that could be fleshed-out a bit in the British instalment of the game:

ASTON MARTIN

Love my Mini’s, but hands-down Aston are my favorite manufacturer. Built up the road from my hometown of Milton Keynes, in Newport Pagnell there would always be the odd one flying up and down the A5 near where I lived. Can remember looking out the train-window once on the way back from London (where the line runs next to the A5) to see a bright-red DB6 keeping pace with us as we slowed down approaching the station.

Another time a few years back was driving up the A5 when a V550/V600 Vantage (my all-time dream car) thundered past me. Sadly was in a borrowed 206 Pug at the time so had NO CHANCE at keeping pace with it.

So I think we should have a few more Astons in-game, certainly ones that have been in it before at least.

And while I’m excited about the new mid-engined cars that are coming out, they’re not on sale yet, so don’t see the point in requesting them (gotta leave something for FH5 right?)

1959 Aston Martin DB2/4 Mk.III

Somewhat confusingly named; this came before the DB4 and after the earlier DB2, often just referred to as the ‘Mark 3’ and sometimes erroneously as the ‘DB3’. It had a 2.9 version of the Aston Straight-six engine making 162bhp. Its here though as the original Bond Aston, featuring as it did in the novel of Goldfinger (the literary Bond having driven Bentleys up till then).

1974 Aston Martin Lagonda

This would be something new to the game, in similar vein to the Bentley Turbo and the Rolls Royce’s in FH3. It was a Luxury car, powered with the same Tadek Marek-designed V8 as the sports-cars. Had unique styling, looked very futuristic and had a really advanced interior for the time (Though hilariously dated-looking now).

Inside

1977 Aston Martin V8 Vantage

I know we have the ‘Bond’ version… but we have separate ‘Bond’ and ‘Aston’ DB5’s, and if memory serves the Bond-edt has some differences (Wire wheels, and being a '80’s car instead of a '70’s one as well as the more-powerful '80’s engine).

Might not be worth the inclusion as we already have a version of it in-game, but I’d really like the ‘simpler’ one. Maybe include the blanked-off ‘Vantage’ grill as an option.

1979 Aston Martin Bulldog

This is a mid-engined Aston we know all about. THAT 5.3 V8 with twin-turbos producing 600bhp. One-of-a-kind and never put into production it’s made it’s way round various collectors. Currently I think it’s being restored in real-life, so would make a good barn-find!

1986 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Zagato

Always been intrigued by the V8 Zagato… it’s not a ‘pretty’ Aston by any means, but until the V550/V600 came along with it’s supercharged version of Tadek Marek’s 5.3 V8, the Zagato (due to it’s lighter weight) was the fastest road-going Aston around. Designed and put into production as a even-more ‘prestige’ model to compete with the Ferrari’s and Lambo’s of the time it was very popular (with those that could afford it) and a sales-success for Aston at the time. I think it looks very '80’s in it’s design, don’t think it’s been in Forza before and think it would be perfect in FH4.

Bit square?

1998 Aston Martin V600 Vantage

Sometimes referred to as the ‘Virage Vantage’ (as a call back to the model its… technically… based on, though only the doors and roof are the same bodywork-wise) this is, as I said, my dream car. My one real gripe with FH4 is that it’s not been included (after featuring in FH3 and FM7). It’s a heavyweight beast of a car, a ‘Rolls Royce with attitude’ and needs to ‘come home’ to Blighty from where I left it in a tent in Australia…

It’s just a big, beautiful, hand-built beast of a thing. Fast, power-slides like crazy and I’d be using it as my ‘cruising’ car…and then also do something irresponsible and tune that massive 5.3l V8 even further and slam it with some drift-suspension.

Body Upgrades : ‘Le Mans’ Bumpers, Bonnet and Side Vents

2002 Aston Martin DB7 V12 Vantage

The ‘Car that saved Aston Martin’. Strangely-enough was built in Oxfordshire where I make my home these days. Derided as a ‘re-bodied XJS’ and for liberally dipping-into the Ford/Mazda parts-bin it is the first of the modern Astons, originally with a supercharged 3.2 straight-six and coming of age with the installation of the N/A V12 that went on to feature in all subsequent Astons of that period.

Styling-wise it was a precursor to the Vanquish and the DB9-series cars, but I think the DB7 is actually the better-looking car, certainly the original Straight-six cars were. I’d love to see the DB7 in the game.

2005 Aston Martin Vanquish

The original version of the Vanquish (surprised it didn’t make it’s way into the Bond-Pack to be honest). I’ll be honest; never been a fan of the styling really. It was praised at the time but the grille always looked too big for me, and could never get over the shut-line of the door running through the rear wheel-arches. Just looked a bit ‘compromised’ looks wise for the range-topping Aston.

Still, it has grown on me, and was in previous versions of the game. would love to see it back.

Or… for something a bit different, maybe the ‘Vanquish 25 by Callum Design’ version which just looks a million-times better to my eyes. Maybe in the same vein as the ‘custom’ Porsches we have added to the game? Or maybe as an alternative body-kit?

2011 Aston Martin Cygnet

Yes…it’s a badge-engineered Toyota iQ… with a poxy 1.3l inline-4. But it’s been in the games before (I think) and only including it so we can turn it from this…

Into…

Upgrade Preset: Wide Body RWD 4.7l V8 Vantage (430bhp)

Engine-Swaps across the range:

Would be good to have the (BMW M3) 3.2l Straight-six as an engine swap for the DB5 and Bond DB5 (as this is the engine used in the ‘stunt’ DB5 in the latest movie)
Also the 5.3 Vantage engine should be available for the Bond DBS, as this was the engine the DBS was designed for in the first-place and you could make an (early) V8-replica
4.7l Vantage V8 engine would be good to swap into most Astons. A modern V8 in the DB5 maybe? Or swap out the V12 in the old Vantage for the earlier engine? (you’d have to make sure the sound was right though, the V8 sounded miles better than the V12 IMO).

Body-kits:

Aston have launched the new Roadster version of the Vantage with the ‘Vane’ grille and made it available as an option for the coupe. Now I actually like the ‘standard’ Vantage grille (looks very ‘GT3 race-car’ but would be good to have it as a bodykit option.

I really want them to add the Suzuki Jimny . It seems like a good fit for this game

I’m really not sure if anyone’s gonna notice this post, but I just wanna ask for one SINGLE car to make it into a Forza game:

The original Ford Taurus SHO.

Not the 2010 that was in Motorsport 4, but I mean the OG first generation SHO. It has NEVER been in a racing game and the closest a classic SHO has gotten to being in a racing game is the third generation SHO in the older Gran Turismo games. But neither the first nor second gen cars have had video game glory, and it’s about time a car this cool gets some kind of recognition because if something like the Rover SD1 can get into Forza then the SHO deserves a chance.

'89 SHO in Currant Red

3rd Gen Taurus SHO in Gran Turismo

It honestly could be any modern racing game, but I’d rather it be Forza since I play that more, but no one, and I mean NOT A SOUL talks about this car anymore. It’s nearly forgotten and whenever someone actually sees one they just go “oh hey, an old Taurus” but there’s stuff that makes this car special from the Yamaha tuned 3.0L V-6 and 5-speed manual gearbox that made this a sports sedan that was faster than a BMW 5-series and even the Mustang GT of the time.

3.0L Yamaha V-6 in the 1st and 2nd Generation cars

I’m also trying to get this into a game since my car is a '90 SHO and I just want to see what racing a stock SHO would really feel like. That’s the one dream I have for Forza, and I’m gonna be right here waiting for the day it gets into a game.

If the 2008 Ford Ranger XL PJ 4x2 Super Cab Ute got added to Forza Horizon 4, I would be extremely happy.

For Forza 4 there’s been two cars and a new series that I’ve wanted for a while one being the 2020 C8 Corvette and the 2020 BMW Supra I think both have great potential and would bring on a few new players cause there hasn’t been something like a rally 2020 rally Supra or something funky like that. A series I’d like to be added to Forza is a fast and furious series cause growing up as a kid is what got me in to cars is watching those movies and without a doubt in my heart everyone else would love to see that as well. Thanks for hearing me out.
