Well put. At the end of the day this is only going to make Forza bigger than ever which is only good news for us as fans of the series.

Indeed

Btw. TopFuelMad, are you actually really serious about this, I can`t quite tell

sure i am why i would’t

To start I would like to say I am a huge fan of Forza on PC but I can see some issues with it.

If Forza and all the Xbox 1 exclusive games go to PC, why would anyone buy the next Xbox? I personally only own an XB1 because of Forza and I am considering purchasing an Xbox 360 for Forza. BUT, I would much rather play Forza on my PC as I am sure many of you would as well. So this leaves Microsoft with a problem, how will they make a profit off of the new Xbox if no one buys it?

Also, if Forza turns out to be like GTA V people will manage to hack it no matter how hard the devs try to make it not happen. If I join a public lobby and I see a person doing laps in less than a second and making people’s car fly around the world, I will probably not join another public lobby. Please make sure that stuff like this doesn’t happen!

Oh and if there are more cars than the garage limit I will be severely annoyed and I am sure Breyzipp will be as well. This mistake has been made once, and shall not be tolerated again.

glad to see someone said what i am think in , you totally said what i want

The main reason is cost. A PC that is capable of playing these games at 60fps and 4K would cost well over £1000.
The Scorpio will be half that price. Not everyone can afford to buy a 4K gaming rig.
I will be buying the Scorpio over the £1000 PC.

People seem to think buying a £300 PC will give the same quality graphics as current gen consoles but I have yet to see one that is.

I don’t think FH3 will turn into a mess like GTA V on PC.
-First of all, GTA V is much more popular and offers a lot more gameplay features, that means much much much wider audience compared to Forza or any racing game.
-Forza is Windows 10 only game, so that cuts the amount of possible players as well
-It’s UWP, so i doubt anybody would bother trying to hack it the way GTA V hacked.
-I also believe that people who like racing games are completely different to crowds of those who like to cause mayhem in games(such as gta).

I am 100% sure FH3 on PC won’t suffer from cheaters even if there will be any.

Why would anyone buy an Xbox when they have a PC?

Don’t worry, the Xbox isn’t going away anytime soon. Not sure what Microsoft’s endgame is but you can be sure it will lead back to Xbox. They wouldn’t do what they could’ve easily done a a decade ago unless it was a carefully planned move.

exactly the same as i was thinking!

I got every generations of xbox and its because of the Forza Motorsport and Horizon-series.
im okay with it comming to pc but i think MS are gonna sell less xboxes now when they releasing it on both pc and console…

and if someone is selfish it is Microsoft because of that they want to make developers release games only on the UWP and windows Store.

I dont think selling consoles is overly important to MS, its more about having a working brand.
To my knowledge the hardware itself doesnt generate much financial profit, often rather the opposite. That said, I dont even think it will hurt sales that much. Many people just prefer playing on consoles, for money reasons, because it seems more casual, because the box looks nice and has some entertainment features.
My prefered answer though would be: because the next hardware is so great (in whatever way) even PC users would want to have it. I`d like that

Your other concerns sound valid, lets just hope MS has it under control. I am optimistic though. One thing I wouldnt mind would be to always allow players the choice who to play with, as in filter between Xbox only, Win10 only, or both.

I’m trying to wrap my head around this thread. Why on earth would you be mad at finally having the ability to run a Forza game at a proper framerate with superior graphics? I bought my Xbox One for Forza as well and then was quickly disappointed to learn that the replays in Forza and the ENTIRE Horizon 2 experience basically runs like a bad slideshow. Anyone who loves Forza and always wanted to play it the way it should be played can now do that. Not only that, you can have it on both systems with digital download and only have to pay once. It’s a win win for everyone. If all Xbox exclusives are coming to Windows 10 I’ll gladly toss my Xbox off a cliff with a grin on my face.

Console exclusives are a stupid exercise IMO. It’s like only being able to watch certain movies on a certain brand of TV. Imagine if you had to buy an LG TV in order to watch Marvel movies, but if you wanted to watch Bond movies you needed a Sony TV. Isn’t that a backwards method of getting content out?

Microsoft is smart in that they’re homogenizing their platforms to provide a single format whether that be PC or XBox.

I’m excited about the prospect of being able to play Forza both on my TV and on my home PC. Plus I can play against friends who have a PC but don’t have an XBox.

Microsoft are smart to do this. They’re going to sell more games and more copies of Forza which means more features and development.

Selling Xboxes isn’t even that big of a deal to us. It’s not like they’ll stop making Forza games if they don’t sell Xboxes. They have bigger fish to fry now.

I’m worried about the PC specs for this game. To play this game on PC will require a LOT of expensive things for your laptop. You guys HAVE to ask the developers about this. It’s really a big problem for me…

I don’t think Playground games target laptops. They are not suited to heavy gaming at all.

In my opinion a 970/390 grade GPU will be needed to enjoy with this game with good visuals at 60fps.

You need a good CPU as well. I have a GTX 970 but with my first gen i5 I can only run Apex decently with everything set near rock bottom.

Something is wrong on your end. I’ve seen plenty of people playing the game fine on quad cores.
You should not be held back by your CPU to such a ridiculous degree. Core I5 are totally sufficient in modern games but you would be right to say more cores can bring more performance.

It’s a FIRST GEN i5. An i5-661 to be more precise. They’re old and weak as hell. I’ll either get a new i5-4690 or a used i7-4790 if I can find one with some warranty left.

Apex is playable but barely, and only if I set the graphics near lowest. I hope Horizon 3 won’t rely so much on the CPU but I’m not holding my fingers crossed.
