In Formula 1 - medical attention for drivers during the actual races has moved on in huge leaps and bounds over the last 40 years - the almost non-existent first aid efforts of the late 1960’s and early 70’s contributed (along with shockingly poor track safety) to horrendous death rates and the F1 World was losing 3 to 4 top drivers a year in deadly crashes - often where fire was a component. With Professor Sid Watkins as the “flag bearer” for better F1 track medicine - and a massive upsurge in circuit safety led by F1 ace and former World Champion Sir Jackie Stuart - the awful losses gradually ceased and thankfully, F1 is now a far safer sport. Here is my idea for a super fast, all terrain F1 doctor’s car (the sides of the circuit can get very muddy and gravel traps are deep!) - this one based at site of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone - Thanks for looking.
