After the freebie, obtaining additional cars of the same model from the Buy Cars list will cost credits.

Car Pass

DLC included in the Car Pass

  • 2010 Noble M600
  • Mobil 1 Car Pack - October
  • Falken Car Pack - November
  • NAPA Chassis Car Pack - December
  • G-Shock Car Pack - January
  • Top Gear Car Pack - February
  • Rockstar Car Pack - March
The Car Pass is a bulk discount on six selected monthly car packs, each containing 5 cars. In addition to the included monthly car packs, Car Pass owners have exclusive access to the 2010 Noble M600 (not available to purchase as separate DLC). In total, the Car Pass price covers 31 cars. The Car Pass is included with purchase of the Forza Horizon 2 Ultimate Edition or can be purchased separately as an add-on to the regular or Deluxe editions for $24.99. This is roughly a 17% discount from purchasing all six monthly car packs at $4.99 each. The Car Pass can be purchased at any time, even after all the monthly car packs have been released, but purchasing the Car Pass after purchasing an individual car pack may not result in a refund or price reduction for the difference.

The Car Pass does not include: Pre-Order cars, VIP cars, individual promotional DLC cars, Storm Island Expansion Pack, Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious, the April Furious 7 Car Pack, the May Alpinestars Car Pack, or any subsequent packs. Per the Rockstar Car Pack announcement: “The Rockstar Energy Car Pack is the sixth and final car pack included with the Forza Horizon 2 Car Pass. Any future car packs for Forza Horizon 2 for Xbox One will be available for purchase individually for $5 each.”
The Car Pass is not discounted as a result of owning the VIP pack.

Once you own the Car Pass there is no need to download the monthly car packs as they are released; a free content update on release day will add the cars to the game and you can simply start accessing them from gameplay. Installing DLC does not automatically put the cars in your garage - you will need to transfer them from the in-game Buy Car menu. Each purchased add-on car can be added to your in-game garage one time for free, without using in-game credits. After the freebie, obtaining additional cars of the same model from the Buy Cars list will cost credits.

Secondary profiles on a shared XBL Gold member console will be able to access DLC cars in the game without purchasing the pack, but gamesave benefits may only be available to the account that purchased the pack. As a result, secondary profiles may not have the one-time-for-free tag for DLC cars and may need to use credits to transfer the cars to their in-game garage. DLC is only for the Xbox One version of FH2, not available for the Xbox 360 version.

Monthly Car Packs

  • Weather - new variable weather with “fierce tropical storms and thick fog” (apparently only on the island, not on the current map) day and night.
  • Hub - Storm Island Hub with the same Championship sign up, Garage, and Autoshow menus as other hubs.

Extras

Announced in the 12-18-14 Week in Review, a Treasure Map and Tokens have been added to the Extras tile under the Pause menu’s Marketplace tab.

Tokens
Xbox.com Store link for Xbox One
100 Tokens pack $0.99 (1 token per cent)
325 Tokens pack $2.99
575 Tokens pack $4.99
1250 Tokens pack $9.99
2750 Tokens pack $19.99
8000 Tokens pack $49.99
20,000 Tokens pack $99.99 (2 tokens per cent)

Tokens are a means of buying cars or upgrades for your car in lieu of using in-game credits. This can be useful if you do not have enough credits to buy an expensive car. In menus where Tokens can be used, the value will be indicated by a “T” within a circle near the credit value. In general, a token is equal to 600 credits, so something that would cost 60,000 credits would cost 100 tokens. The game does not require you to purchase and/or use Tokens, and there are plenty of opportunities to earn credits for the things you want to buy. You can toggle Disable Tokens in the Extras tile which will remove the token purchase price for eligible items until you toggle the Enable option. Note that as a consumable DLC, resetting a gamesave may not recover the previous Token counts for the new save. Each purchased Token pack will also probably not be shared with other accounts on the console.

Treasure Map
Xbox.com Store link for Xbox One - $2.99
The Treasure Map reveals the locations of Bonus Boards, Bucket List Challenges, Speed Cameras, and Barn Finds (as each one is unlocked) on the game map. Once the map is purchased it will display as long as the gamesave continues. Note that as a consumable DLC, resetting a gamesave may not recover the map for the new save. The Treasure Map will also probably not be shared with other accounts on the console.

After the freebie, obtaining additional cars of the same model from the Buy Cars list will cost credits (or Tokens). Is there Nitrous in the game?
  • Nitrous is available in race events in the Xbox One version, and only when the events make it available.
Where do I buy cars for my garage?
  • There is no Autoshow or Buy Cars menu in F&F - cars are collected by completing events.
Can the cars in F&F be customized?
  • No. Each car is pre-upgraded to the top of its class (A, S1, and S2) and there is no upgrade shop, no tuning, and no painting available.
Can I import my designs from FH2?
  • No. There is no transfer between games and there is no design sharefront.
Are my Forza Horizon 2 credits imported to Fast & Furious?

Alternately, to share photos from your Xbox One game, take a screenshot and then go to the Upload app to share the shot to Twitter or your OneDrive account. See F&F photo discussion thread.
    Where are the radio stations?
  • F&F has one radio station which can be toggled on and off. It features songs from FH2 plus new songs.
How do I Fast Travel around the map?
  • Fast Travel is available to your garage location only.
How do I see the horsepower for the cars in my garage?
  • The specs view that you can toggle in FH2 are not available in the F&F garage, but is visible in the Rivals car selection menu. You can also see horsepower via telemetry (press down on the D-pad while driving).
    How big is the map?
The F&F map uses a portion of the FH2 map with the same roads and features, from Nice up to Saint-Martin and from the industrial area up to the airport. Locations of cameras and Bonus Boards are different between the Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions.

Installing DLC does not automatically put the cars in your garage - you will need to obtain them from the Autoshow or Buy Cars menu. Once the DLC is purchased each car model should appear as “FREE” the first time you buy them. After the freebie, obtaining additional cars of the same model from the Buy Cars list will cost credits (or Tokens).
