We all know about stuttering issue on Forza 7. I have it to.
I have ideal PC spec I think:
System RAM: 16GB
Intel CPU: i7-8086K (eralier i7-6700K @ 4 GHz)
NV GPU: GTX 1080Ti (latest drivers)
VRAM 11GB
Windows 10 x64 (latest update)
UWHD Asus 34 (3440x1440)
I use manual graphic setting to maximum - don’t want to use dynamic. My pc spec hit 100fps in this game without problem.
I have lot of demanding games and all works great with GSync but Forza not. Only Forza!
To reduce sttutering (not eliminate at all but reduce to level that not distrub me to play the game) I switched to static sync. Game works really good in that case. But there is some graphic bug.
Look at the YT clip I made for You.
Crowd and flags are flickering. But funny thing is - it happens only in in/on car views. Chase cam - there is no problem. Look at video I posted above.
I observed it one year ago. But the game was so so “not finished”… I was using GSync later and I didnt noticed so much stuter. But recently stutter killed the game. So I was looking for solution. Only static sync solve and make game almost perfect smooth. But hey - I discovered flickiering again after one year. I found that some poeople have this problem too: https://forums.forza.net/turn10_postst123174_Horrible-LOD-issues-on-PC-and-flags-flickering-----STILL.aspx
i know, i have refunded for many issues, micro freeze, and this one.
i have given you the solution on other post but here it’s :
—For flags flickering—
-use RENDER SCALE only at 100%, more will introduce flags flickering.
-use SHADOW QUALITY only at DYNAMIC, Ultra,High or anything else will introduce flags flickering.
—For LODs at night race—
-use CAR MODEL QUALITY at DYNAMIC, anything else will introduce a very bad LODs.
(if you race by day you can change this settings to ULTRA, it’s more beautiful than dynamic by day)
You can use DYNAMIC for everything and it will remove 99% flags flickering, btu graphics are not as beauty
It’s really silly looking. You would have thought it would have been addressed by this point. Too bad there wasn’t an option to turn off crowd animation.
Hopefully they’re looking into this. The flickering flags can really be distracting. The way I fixed mine is using Riva Tuner Statistics Server (RTSS) and cap the framerate to 60. It doesn’t totally eliminate the problem but so far it’s fixed 90% of the flickering flags. I think the graphics engine checks the frametimes for every frame and if the frame render time went beyond a certain value it cuts off some detail. Unfortunately when the flags get removed on certain frames and then put back in their animation restarts so it’s like they’re doing their stutter dance.
