Forza 4 - Livery Competitions for Dummies

Hi Forza friend

Thank you for taking the time to read my message – I know this probably sounds really odd - but the truth is I have absolutely no idea how to enter a livery contest for Forza 4 and I’m hoping you will give me some advice. I did ask another forum but I got a reply from some guy that thought I was sooooo stupid for not knowing about competitions - it’s a shame he took two paragraphs telling me I was dumb when he could have used one paragraph to tell me what I need to know… Oh well…:grinning:

I have been experimenting with designing paintwork for my Forza 4 cars and I have even been able to sell some of my designs on my own Forza 4 storefront – however, I would now like to enter one of the contests but I have got no idea how to do this. I am an old Forza fan (over 50) and my two sons got me into the games - but the problem I have is that both my kids are away working now and I simply don’t have the knowledge and use of the terminology to always find the answers I need.

As I said, I have got my own Forza storefront but I have never been on to the auction or even entered on online race (I’m far more interested in designing the paintwork and setting up and testing my cars).

Please will you help me by giving me instructions on how to enter one of my designs in a Turn 10 livery contest – please use basic terms as I’m afraid I don’t have a lot of experience with online gaming or computers and consoles.

Thank you again for your time and I look forward to hearing from you - Buddy

In the Fantasy Paint Booth there is a livery contest ran by Big Time Muscle. There is both race and fantasy contests. It also has Turn 10 sponsorship so winners get a full set of unicorns. Hopefully we’ll see enter and best of luck to you.

As to entering these you will need a Photobucket account or Flickr account. I’m not the best at explaining the process to get them from tube game to the picture account then back to here. Maybe someone else could explain it or post the link that will explain step by step how to do it.

Hi Buddy. I’m really glad to see some more senior [not older] guys here - very welcome. As for the negative response you received, there will always be people trying to show off at other’s expense and I think we both know it’s better just to ignore them. If Einstein was an intellect guru on his date of birth, why then did he attend primary school ?. Same applies for those trying to show off. And you will also find out soon that most of the guys on the forums will always be prepared to help.

For entering livery competitions, here is what I suggest you do. Go to the Media Center here in the FM4 forums and to the thread right at the top which is called “FM4 Forzatography Help and Tips” which was written by Quantum Drifter some months ago. [by the way he wouldn’t have written it if everybody knew what to do]. In the article under the Basic Introduction about 3rd from the top you will find the heading “How to post your photos” It takes you from taking your photo, saving it on your Storefront, then taking your photos to your computer and ends with how to put them on Flickr or Photobucket and from their to this Forum. It’s a very nice guide to newcomers so read through that. Once you there [or if you got any questions] come back here and myself or some of the other Community members will be happy to help you if you experience any problems with any of the terminology or the process. That’s where I started and with the help of the community I posted my photos in no time. So please do not hesitate to ask for help.

Once you’ve got that covered, the competitions Bigfoot referred to in the post above will be your way to go.

Welcome to the Forums and I really hope to see your designs and entries soon.

Welcome to the forums  Livery contest is now community run and posted in the Fantasy section. Looking forward to your entry  You also really should consider joining any of the BIGTIME sponsored race series online. Great, clean/friendly racing  Would be a great way to start some online racing for you. Again, welcome to the forum community, any questions, don’t hesitate to ask some “old pros” ;]
