I’ve paid for and downloaded the Formula Drift car pack but, as is stated in the description, it won’t let me have a “one free version of each car” it charges 300k for each one. How can I fix this?
This is happening to a lot of people. I posted about it yesterday.
Did anyone give you a solution?
How far into the story are you? They do unlock once you get to the autumn season and finish the first race (you gotta buy them for 0 credits in DLC Cars in your house), at least for me… If not, then i would not know how to fix it.
I’m just about finished in spring, ready to go back into summer. It still wants me to pay 300k.
I’ve already got my wrist band and it’s still trying to charge me.
Are you all playing via game pass? If so the drift car pack only acts as an unlock to acquire those cars. You’ll be charged 300k each for them until you buy the pack.
I bought the ultimate edition last night and they all instantly became available for free.
Is this correct? according the Microsoft site, and Xbox live, it says the pack is included in with Game Pass, I also got the message onscreen this morning after starting the game, saying they are available for me to collect through the shop, but still asks me for 300k.
I bought the car pack so I need to get to autumn in order to use those cars correct?

Yes the pack is included with game pass but it only offers an unlock for the cars. To get them you’ll need to dish out 300k credits each.
I’m surprised they even allowed GamePass users to access the pack at all without additional payment, and people still have the cheek to complain about paying a few credits for them…

Im not complaining about paying credits, i have credits, just asking for clarification from other players, which has been provided.

I ain’t complaining just really don’t understand this game because I have never played it before I’m so use to playing Need for Speed and that Xbox game pass is new to me I don’t have a problem paying 300k for credits
No he’s wrong. Forza support tweeted saying that you they are aware of an issue where some game pass members who try to add the formula drift cars to their garage and do so without spending in game credits. It’s a bug. They said that they’re working on a fix in a future update
DRIFT CAR PACK NOT WORKING SOLUTION (THEORY)
I am also having the same issue with the Drift Pack. I recieved FH4 through the game pass which included the drift pack dlc. I believe you have to progress through the story/season until you unlock the drift races. Without having the drift races open, you cannot own drifting tuned cars. Therefore, you have to pay to use the Drift Pack cars. Once the drift races are on your map however, the cars should be able to be purchased for 0 cr. This is only my theory and has not been proven yet. On the account that I have not made it that far into the game yet ( still switching back and forth with BO4 lol). Hope this helps everyone.
Nope you theory is wrong. I’m standard edition owner (drift pack included) and i can buy any of the cars in this pack for noting(these cars are buyable early in the game! w/o waiting for drift-zones?!), just as expected for ANY owned DLC car, you should be charded to pay the value only on the second buy, first buy is always free as it was on FH3. So it’s simply a bug for game-pass owners.
