Formula 1 driver suspended after repeating parts of Microsoft's Forza song

Forza Motorsport released its official trailer a week ago.

Some voices were raised against using gangsta rap into it.

Microsoft locked all the posts about it and silenced all the replies on this and other platforms.

Today the famous Forza player and Formula 1 team (Red Bull) driver repeated a word from the song of the official trailer live while streaming a gaming session.

The driver was suspended and probably lost all of his future career in real racing and in racing games alike.

Do you guys think that it’s time for Turn10 to listen and delete the slurs from it’s games? Let us know.

There’s no profanity in the song as it exists in the official trailer. So, if he got suspended for saying a word from the song as it exists in the official trailer you can surely say the word here. If it’s a word that isn’t in the song as it exists in the official trailer, then you’ve answered whether they should listen to you on this matter, as you’re asking them to remove something that doesn’t exist.

Also, if the driver (and which driver is it, assuming you’re not fabricating that?) was merely suspended it likely won’t impact his career unless it’s recurring behavior. Sports figures get suspended for things all the time without suffering much in the long run. And, of course, that’s assuming he was suspended from F1 and not, say, just the streaming service where he made the gaff.

Edit: I’m going to assume it’s driver Juri Vips who indeed used a word that is NOT in the song as it exists in the official trailer.

Hello,

The Forza Motorsport 2023 trailer is shorter than the full song.

Thanks for the insight @Ti-Hsien!

Shorter AND edited for content. I have mentioned this on more than one occasion in a couple of different ways in your threads on the subject.

Just for clarification purposes here is a link to the story, Juri Vips: Red Bull suspend reserve driver over racist slur - BBC Sport

The driver is a reserve driver and it doesn’t actually mention Forza.

Please take care in the accuracy of your statements - the issue you’ve raised repeatedly is not reflected in the trailer. Forza has taken steps to make sure its content fits the E for Everyone rating applied by the ESRB to Forza’s games, and as stated in the Forza Enforcement Guidelines, seeks to “promote a safe, secure, inclusive and enjoyable experience for all Forza Community members.”

Similarly as stated in the Forza Motorsport demo, crashing is a reality of racing - but some of the real world consequences of crashes are not depicted in game. Forza should not be labeled as promoting anything that is not depicted in its content.

You’ve made your point already in two threads which were closed. Please do not try to reopen a topic that has been closed by a moderator. If you have a concern about something that actually is in Forza’s content, or about Forum moderation policy, please report it to Forza Support.
