FMDA Forza Motorsport 5 Battle Rules

Forza Motorsport Drift Alliance (Battle Rules)

The rules about spectating and replay saving will be in effect when and if Forza 5 implements these things.

Car Restictions

-RWD Cars Only

-No Higher than A Class Cars

-Positive camber on the Front and Rear wheels is NOT allowed (Will be checked via Telemetry)

-No Race Tires (Sport Tires Max)

-No Tire Width Restriction

-No Forza Aero

-P.I. Changes ARE ALLOWED (As Long As It Is No Higher Than A Class)

-Must use the same car throughout the tournament.

-650 HP Cap

Judging Info

-A certain number of judges will be present depending on the track

-One Room Coordinator (Spectator Mode - will be watching for contact)

-A pass does not result in an automatic victory. (Judging still takes place)

-All run replays will be saved in case of any complaints (I.E.bumping)

-Results from the competition will be posted on www.ForzaMotorsport.net website.

-Spin rule - If at anytime you drop all 4 tires in the dirt, whether from a spin or driving off the course, it results in an automatic loss of that run. If you spin,

but manage to stay on the track, it does not result in an automatic loss, simply finish your run and it will go the judges from there.

-One rear tire drop is allowed.

Judging Criteria

-Line Taken (How close you are to the apex. Are you able to hold the inside line with pressure from the chasing car)

-Speed (How fast you navigate the course)

-Angle (How far you push your car to it’s limits)

-Style (Linking turns with smooth transitions, passing the lead car. How close you get to the lead car without bumping)

-Length (How early did you initiate the drift. The longevity of the drift)

-Proximity (How close or far the following car is from the lead car)

Strict Rules

-No arguments in the tournament room.

-Once the drifters line up to battle, they must mute the microphones.

-Once the battle is over the Room Coordinator will comment on any contact.

-Complaints must be filed officially AT THE TIME OF THE BATTLE. Once you leave the room there will be no response to complain

Looks good

I dig it.

I’ve only competed a few times but I’m looking to actually get good enough to do it more often.

Should be fun.

They are fun and if anyone wants to tandem or battle hit me up.

I might take you up on that offer. I’m not that great at tandems but I’m slowly learning.

Nice. Can’t wait for some tourneys to get started.

Good stuff swirly!!

This is a great step forward until or if spectate makes a debut. I don’t if you guys know this or not. Positive camber in the rear is not illegal. Little is ran on cars in real life. Rest of the rule criteria is smooth as gravy. Good luck

Positive camber is legal on both front and rear in real life… Just most drivers don’t use it. There aren’t horsepower caps in real life either… Lol

1). It’s been this way since basically the beginnings of forza, sp why should it be changed now?

2.) “Most drivers don’t use positive camber.” Most drivers? Give me A DRIVER that uses positive camber please.

There are lots of things that have happened in life that we could easily just say we’ve been doing it for years why change now. Just to throw one major example that (not trying to be offensive) but slavery was around for a long time and it was a standard of living a long time ago until people came along and stood up for change. And if I’m not mistaken ( but i might be) I thought Chris Forsberg ran some positive camber in the rear of his car. I don’t really care about the camber much, I was just pointing out that in real life there are no regulations on camber. But I never understood and never agreed with horsepower caps, horsepower doesn’t give you some unfair advantage and is more of a preference to how you like to build your car.

the slavery thing and the change thing i totally agree on but one change i’d like to see is the class to go back to S and now the lowest being atleast C-S dude to come cars being able to drift stock engine but just needs a better gearing ratio and also forza aero i don;t see whats wrong with it i put it on my car to give more of a racing look but its frowned upon everytime i use it… countless people are like why do you have a spoiler on that car and i tell them to make it look like a race car and they say its not the car handles the same way though

A class is the new s class.

I just was having a laugh about the positive camber thing and felt i needed to add my own 2 cents into this

I know its not a tuning post, but i feel like this would be the time to quote Mike Kojima

“On a drift car you want to run the rear camber as close to zero as possible. This will usually give you the best tire wear, and best forward bite. If you want a little more side grip you can run some negative camber but usually no more than one degree negative should be run.”

The bunk knowledge some people have of cars and tuning is just pathetic, dont speak if you dont know for sure. Positive camber is a very stupid thing to say is ran in such high horsepower cars. Your tire wear would suck, you would have almost no tire contacting the road at all, and you would just look like an idiot.
