280 SL i’m not familiar with, so will give it a good go!
Alfa Romeo P3! EPIC
Chevy Corvette Prototype, Yum!
Opel GT 68…nice, why the hell not!
Castrol Jaguar Racing XJR-9…oh man, noisy nostalgia!
And another Ferrari…HOWEVER, thankfully, it’s the 488 gtb with that glorious V8, pretty much 1 of only 3 ferraris I actually LIKE. HOORAY!
Overall?
One of the best packs ever in the season pass, possibly my second favourite, great job T10!
a 1000 times 1. Absolutely my thoughts too, nice to know someone else shares these thoughts! The other 6 are by far more interesting to me…Dino Coupe i fell in love with thanks to that Wheeler Dealers episode lol, the P3 i’ve actually seen in real life (SO MY GOD, T10 BETTER HAVE DONE THE ENGINE SOUND PROPERLY) and the Jag is classic even if I ain’t even that old, plus the other 2 interest me too. Love it, superb pack.
Just yesterday I was on IMSA’s Twitter looking at the 2015 Chevrolet #10 Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette Daytona Prototype and thought how sweet that would be on Forza and I get back from work today and it’ here, sweet!
Nice to see the 488GTB though I’m still holding out to see the much better McLaren 675LT I need to see that air brake in Forza!
Oh, I’m sure someone will have done the livery by the time you read this! My guess is the painters have already been developing the decals, in hopes that the car will eventually arrive!
There’s one very good replica of the Silk Cut livery on Storefront, however, there are a few exacting issues with it if you’re a finickier type of livery Livery owner…
The location on the name and number on the flanks is too high, the Silk Cut purple logos on the top of the front guards are too small, and a few other minor issues. They aside, it’s the best one out there, and looks a treat on the car., a big to the designer., well done.
Re the Historic Alfa, if you want an inside to how these cars came to be, and the future of the racing world for that matter, check out two movies currently on Xbox Live Movies/TV.
First one being, A Sicilian Dream…about the Florio family located in Sicily Italy that started the renowned and fateful Targa Florio racing series that was started and sadly finished after some horrific accidents on the little Isle of Sicily. The Florio family basically owned Sicily at the time, so the youngest son, with nothing to do, started to race his motor vehicle against horses and a bicycle. That was the start of The Targa Florio…
The second is, Steve McQueen:- The Man & Le Mans. Giving you the complete story of how Steve McQueen came up with the idea of creating a movie about the great race, using real racing car drivers hired for the film, and the tragedies that befell the filming. What effect it had on him, and the cast n crew.
Plus it gives you an insight of what ingenious ideas he had for filming such a spectacular event. He invented filming devices that Hollywood hadn’t even thought of fir car filming.
The two films will round out the various cars in this pack very nicely indeed.
Do yourself a solid and check them out, then go race the cars.
Plus there’s some good pics of real liveries of the time to whet a designers appetite …
I can’t wait to drive the Corvette DP. If they got the sound right on it I’m just going to get on, start driving it, and never stop so I can just listen to the glorious sound track that car produces.
This whole pack is great though. Good mix of cars. Nothing ridiculous or goofy (although i’m actually not against that stuff if it proves to be useful). I can see myself using every car in the pack.
Different versions. XJR9 for the World Sportscar races, the XJR9-LM was a specific design and low drag aero package for the Le Mans race. Many cars had specific Le Mans packages at the time, because the enormous Mulsanne straight of the historic layout presented a totally different challenge to all of the other circuit races in the season.
Goosebumbs all over my body and a gargantuan smile by looking at this incredible beautiful 280 SL. Just two hours ago i had this one in white with a darkblue roof (us-import) in front of me, pure style. Long time ago when Mercedes was building beautiful cars.
And then the most beautiful Opel ever, such a rare unique car (Those Headlight, wuff!).
Thank you for putting a bit more style in Forza with cars for adults not for kids!
