Yea so I bought the VIP Membership and it said there would be ‘gift cars’. I haven’t gotten one. Can someone fill me in?
Hasn’t been a gift car for VIPs in FM4 in a long time - and wouldn’t think there will be anymore either.
Yeah I’m having the same issue. Understandable to some extent, due to FM5 being out, however if they stopped doing so then this is absolutely false advertising…
C’mon T10, I love the Forza series but is it so hard to let us know about changes like that?? I can’t imagine that changing the description in the storefront would be such a big hassle…

yup I bought the vip expecting gift cars and I got nothing

I know what you mean bro I own all forza games with all dlc except 5 [t10 priced me out of my fav game] never received any gift cars not one but why would they they have my hard earned in their back pocket don’t hold your breath bro or you will end up as blue in the face as I am
Hm, so when I bought the VIP pack expecting to get what is written in the description I was basically fooled and mislead? Can we actually have an official statement of discontinued support for Forza 4 and Horizon? It also should be included in the description of the items. As of right now it’s basically a violation of US code, Title 15 - Ch2 - Sub I - 54. When Gamespy was shut down, EA immediately updated the description of the affected titles in Origin and Steam. But right now, you are actually selling a defunct product which only gives you access to a selected number of cars and a symbol next to your gamertag.
Secondly, what is exactly so hard about this? It’s a few SQL queries. Just select a random car from the list and gift it to VIP users. If within a month they don’t collect it, erase the said messages. And once in a while gift a unicorn to everyone, so that the saddest achievement won’t be inaccessible.
Seriously, I bought the first games from a desire to start from the start with you. Then I bought Forza 5 and Horizon 2, amazed by their quality I decided to buy VIP status on every available game. And I’m quite sad that this actually isn’t working. Also - the monthly rewards for Forza 4 and Forza Horizon aren’t coming as well. With the announced backwards compatibility you will most likely find new fans wanting to get into the action of older games, why would you want to greet them with abandoned products? Should I be afraid that with Forza 6 coming out, the VIP packs that I bought for myself and my wife’s account for all the games in the series, will be defunct in a few months?
Could the Turn10 representative give an official response? Maybe we could get an automated system to fix the said problems?

Unfortunately nope and nope. Players who have been hit by this annoying aspect of the VIP pack have been asking for both of these things since mid 2012 when the VIP pack was first made available to purchase, and as far as I’m aware T10 have never once explained themselves beyond vague mentions here and there (supposedly), and despite the pleas for an automated system be put in place, which was always the logical next step, they haven’t implemented one and this late in the game they likely never will.
If a rep was to comment on this they may claim that, when the VIP pack was first released (in or around May or June I believe) anyone that bought it got a Unicorn as a gift for buying it (a charitable event where by a small percentage of the proceeds went to a charity but only if you bought it in the month it came out) and, you’d get a Unicorn gifted to you just for having the pack for the months of May and June. So, technically you did get what it says you get, provided you bought it in May or June of 2012. I’m not saying they would use this as an excuse but knowing T10 I wouldn’t be surprised.
As an added kick in the face I am fairly sure originally the VIP rewards were supposed to last a year so there should have been Unicorns for August and September too but they never got sent out due to a backlog or, something, if memory serves correct. And they were never sent out even after said backlog was sorted due to Forza Horizon coming out and being the centre of T10’s world, So technically speaking even everyone who bought the pack on day one got stiffed out of two Unicorns as did everyone who got the pack for free in the Limited Edition. Don’t quote me on that though, it’s been so long since I was hot on what was what with this game I could be getting my wires crossed. I don’t think I am though (someone who is knowledgeable feel free to correct me).
This forum was full of topics about that back in the day but, since my last visit here apparently they’ve purged the old forum and replaced it with this… Thing. Though I expect plenty of people have moaned about it since. And yet despite all these complaints over the years the description for the VIP pack remains unchanged. My advice to anyone who feels the ten cars they get from the pack isn’t enough, contact Microsoft directly and complain to them about the situation. Turn 10 don’t care.

You will get the next VIP car sent out - which is likely to be never as they have stopped doing them.

unfortunetly t10 retired the unicorn cars on july 8 2015 the reason that vip has not been removed from the marketplace is that you get multiple dlc car packs larger sf and auctionhous preference I know this is of little consolation but it does read in in the agreements that you accepted that any game developer can without notice change or delete anything in there game and they assume no liability for this
If it is still advertised that you will get these gift cars then you should get these gift cars! That is the main reason we signed up for VIP. Come on Turn 10, send us these cars!!! And please respond to us!
this game is 4 years old and has to younger siblings and 2 step siblings…you have to be joking at this point to expect turn 10 to send you anything for this game.

Yep, its an old game, however, if they still advertise that you get the gift cars by buying a VIP pass then they should have to honor it or remove that incentive to buy a VIP.
