Flying car?

I was drag racing yesterday and in one race someone (I won’t post the gamertag) driving a '57 Chevy (can’t recall the Class but it was a D or C) literally flew down the track. It was a jerky jumping zig-zag path - the car would disappear then reappear and it was flying - not touching the track. The car won the race finishing in 1st place against faster cars BUT the recap showed the car had only 99% completion?
The car won all 3 heats by the same tactic - flying, disappearing and ending up at the finish. The remaining 2 races the car was at 100%.
The car only stayed in the lobby for 2 races but was in a different group the second. I did check the recaps and oddly the finishes were last, second, first.
Since I only started multiplayer a few days ago I’m not sure if this is common occurrence.
Is this an exploit or a game glitch? I’m assuming exploit since it only happened with that car. And how can you win 1st place with a 99% completion?

I think that it’s just plain old lag, to be honest. I’ve seen it also in several races and it is kind of funny to watch.

It wold be perfect to see if the Delorean was doing it

Welcome to multiplayer!

Yeah I seen it more then a couple of times also. Great comment I would love to see flying DeLoreans, its one of the cars that didn’t make the cut in 5 that I miss the most. Hopefully it will be back in 6 and will be one of the launch cars in Horizon 2. If we get a couple of more car packs after July there might even be a slim chance of it returning to 5.

That was my first thought - lag. But a lower class car finishing 1st against R and P class cars in 3 heats seems very convenient.
I still can’t understand the car winning 1st with only a 99% completion when everyone else had 100%. First time I saw that too - so that raised my suspicion.
I use a C class 40 Ford with a drag tune by fat burns - and that car is quite capable of beating B and even some A class cars - but this car ‘flew’ past a Alfa - lol.

Lag can mess up in race results. I’ve seen it. If that car has a nascar engine, it will keep up and beat most cars no matter the class. Unrestricted you cam hit well in excess of 220mph.

I have had flying cars many times in multiplayer races. I found it very distracting while driving, as I cannot focus on anything else but on that car in front of me moving up and down in random crazyness. Very annoying. I also think it is due to some network issues.

Cheers

Happens all the time in lobbies. You can’t drive under the flying cars either. It just results in someone cursing you out in a foreign language. Learned that the hard way.

If you’ve seen me in MP, chances are I’m in a Jetsons car. Lousy connection that I cannot improve. One reason I only race collisions off. So, I’m not wrecking any of you. But, apologies for any distractions caused.

That would be called laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggggggggg.

Same goes for the wheel spin glitches as well, where a car just sits there and sounds like its spinning its wheels, has smoke coming from the back, but the wheels aren’t moving. But these kinds of things have always plagued the Forza series.

On an some what related note, my Camaro flies…
