Things happen in the real world, things happen in the game.
This is motorsport, you don’t always win.
I know, i was just angry last night, just annoying how the AI seem to slam their brakes on, take you out and then drive off. Guess it’s just the physics of the game, they should bring back forza 4s physics so if you did this to someone chances are you’d both spin out
Yes, there is ALOT of features/functionality from FM4 that would be good to port across to FM6+
If they do it every time and you’re still not learning, then I don’t know what else to say.
Fool me once; shame on you.
Fool me twice; shame on me!
You can make the drivatars less aggressive.
We must be playing two different games mate.
I’ve just done heaps of 50+ lappers on a few tracks to raise credits and lift affinity levels. Just have 42 more cars to obtain to have the full stable.
But that aside, during those races, I set the Drivatar levels from Highly Skillee through to Pro, and once or twice on Unbeatable. Sure, the AI did at times do some “questionable” racing manoeuvres and make some very “odd choices” on race lines…choosing the high line around Daytona when the most obvious Li e was the high wall on straights and cut down on corners to keep momentum going through the turns.
Had several brake suddingly, or, when passed, get irate and quickly pass me on the inside, tapping me off-line and cause me to evade or take a spin, causing me to end the race, or go in for a pit stop due to damage…
The Drivatars are models from other drivers that use the game, usually each race has the right Drivatars included into the game based on the race class, so that we have equivalently matched opposition.
But, like everything in life, we make mistakes, as does the Drivatar system, and the AI responds accordingly. So the Drivatars often do have odd times, braking sharply, taking wrong lines, swerving severely, slowing down and the. Speeding up again. These happen in almost all levels of Drivatar Levels…
I’ve “learnt through trial and error-” that I need to be “aware” of approaching drivers, both in front and behind me, and in cockpit mode, that can be difficult in many cases (not real-world rear view abilities in game), taking evasive measures when needed, back off acceleration or pre-brake to avoid slamming the car in front.
I have the brakes adjusted so a light pressure slows me dramatically to avoid rear end collisions. It’s saved my bacon on many a 200mph stretch. I sometimes misjudge, just like in real life racing drivers do everyday, and I suffer for it, grab a pit stop, and continue on, even if it means I come I. Second or mid field… That’s what racing is about.
Learning to judge what the track is doing due to weather conditions allow, or, how other drivers behave when not in their best frame of mind. So practise, learn the great physics that Forza 6 has now given us, and keep at it every chance you get… You “will” improve and get better at judging various Drivatars behaviours… So that you can make the right choices as to how to attack each race.
I think the Drivatar “AI” is amazing. Yeah, it’ll do some odd stuff sometimes, but it’s doing something. After years of driving around the script pathed rolling chicanes in Gran Turismo it makes single player exciting by comparison.
