In the game, its actually the 750HP | 590 ft-lb 2.1L I4 engine found in the Hoonigan Ford RS200 Evolution you can swap with, not the Racing V12 engine.
Thanks for the heads up @CP90210!

2009 sl65 black series needs to be added into this list
Motor swaps are;
6.2l v8 510 hp mercedes
5.2l v10 602 hp lambo
7.3l v12 678 hp (this is from the 09 zonda roadster)
This may have been mentioned and I mightve missed it, but im 99.999% sure the âinline 4 motorcycle engineâ is from the 2008-2020 Suzuki Hayabusa. matches the power, maches the displacement, matches the cylinder count, and its probably the most famous bike engine used in swaps.
The â1.6L I4 Turbo rallyâ SEEMS to be a downtuned version of the engine used in the 2017 M-Sport Fiesta RS, with basically only an RPM cut and/or reduced fuel flow perhaps being the reason for the reduced horsepower as all other specifications remain the same, with the power curve tapering off and ending early as a result. Maybe someone could find where that engine was added and find what ford rally cars were in that game? might be an earlier iteration of the engine from an older car no longer in the series.
from the discussions ive seen most people agree that the "Racing 3.0L I6T is some form of turbocharged Toyota 2JZ, with the closest thing in game (and a car new to the series so it makes sense why its a new swap in FH5) being the GUMOUT 2JZ Camry Stock Car. According to their videos on youtube, the dyno runs never seemed to get to the 850hp the car has in game, achieving high 700hp instead, so the swap could be a leftover from discussions with the devs to make the engine higher power to ârun as it shouldâ in a hypothetically perfect videogame world. Maybe they predicted that they would get 805hp but then closer to release they updated that estimate to 850 and forgot to update the swap?
the â8.9L V8 DSCâ has a fair bit of discussion around it, as seen in this reddit thread:
https://www.reddit.com/r/ForzaHorizon/comments/qr2qiv/anyone_know_what_the_89l_v8_dsc_with_1500hp/
Some interesting ideas from the comments are that this engine is:
- Merlin V8 that was never in a car you could buy but was instead an engine you would buy alone to put in a race car of some sort
- It may be the engine used in the Monster truck in game, though this could be confirmed or disproven by someone with mods or the ability to datamine and find out for us
- It could be an old drag car engine, a comment suggests the âAriasâ V8, which is about the same size, give or take some rounding and would give similar power
Bare minimum, it has a Positive Displacement Supercharger
Other Engines:
2008 Aston Martin DBS gets what appears to be the engine from the Aston Martin Valkryie - Mar power = 1,559hp, Max Torque = 926 ft-lb
idk I use this thread a lot I might as well try to contribute to it
I would even go a step further and wish for the Rotaries to be available for ALL cars. In the spirit of modern tuning and customization, basically any engine can be swapped to any chassis. MadMike puts Rotaries in everything, including a McLaren now, and I want to be able to do the same!
*Side Note, I havenât seen it added to any of the existing lists but the 2012 VW Santana from a DLC pack has the 4 Rotor available in its engine swaps. I only discovered it after purchasing the pack specifically for that car, it was a nice surprise.
this might be a new swap no idea what its from, doesnt match any porsche, VW, or subaru I have. nor does it match the hoonigan cars with flat engines.
Edit - my first thought was that it was the forza edition beetle, but mines made way more power, I though it was stock but it wasnt, I am dumb, its the forza edition beetle engine
The 2.0L I4 - Turbo included as a swap for the newly added 1998 Mitsubishi FTO GP Version R doesnât appear to match any motor listed here. Fully built in-game, the motor makes 844hp/731tq.
Looks like this is the stock engine from the 1999 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV GSR

This engine swap was introduced in the Horizon Cars & Coffee series in July 2024 as an option for the Volkswagen SP-2. This engine has a higher redline and displacement than upgrading other VW/Porsche NA Flat 4s in the game can achieve, except for the 1964 Porsche 356 C Cabriolet Emory Special.

If anyone is curious, the car this engine is (would be) related to is a FOR_43_FiestaRSWRC_11. Even though this car may not be in-game, the file suggests itâs from a 2011 Ford Fiesta RS WRC (#43?).
