I’m running FH4 on a PC and it crashes all the time. When the game first got out it all worked fine. Then an update around October broke it (constant crashes every 10-15 mins). Then a November update fixed it. Then the Fortune Island update broke it again.
I have tried everything : resetting / reinstalling, disabling microphone and all the other things, it’s not a memory issue (i have 32GB and the game only commits up to 5-6 GB). It just crashes.
I found out the crash is related to the XBOX APP. Found a thread somewhere saying if you the explorer.exe process in task manager it will kill the XBOX APP as well and the game won’t crash. And it does work, the game doesn’t crash anymore.
Downside is i have to restart windows every time i stop playing and i can’t play online (since there’s no XBOX APP profile).
So it’s pretty clear there’s a connection between the crashes and the XBOX APP - FH4 connection - the devs should look into this (i have the latest update of the game and win 10).
Or if there’s already a decent solution for this, please let me know…
