FH2 Press Review links

I do hope Play Ground Studios optimizes ALL the highway sections (see 5 minute mark in the video) so that there is NO pop in of horizon or missing textures for top speed runs of the hyper cars (Veyron, Venom, P1, LaFerrari, 918 just kidding). THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING ON NEXT GEN CONSOLES . It kind of reminds me of the same thing happening with the original TDU on the 360 when doing top speed runs on the highways in and around Honolulu.

I’m no programmer/engineer by any means, but specialized ‘highway’ code required because it seams the general code to render normal driving can’t cut it if Bugatti goes 350-400 kph. The guys at PG and Turn 10 are geniuses, I’m sure they can figure something out! Hint, hint - look for idle/lazy CPU and GPU cores during the highway sections and wake them up and have them get back on the job, LOL!

Yeah that’s one serious issue. Good thing that the game comes out the 3rd of October here so I can see if these issues are rare or common. In the 2nd case, I’m going to wait until they fix it

Come to think of it (it’s been a long while), but I do believe Eden Games/Atari fixed the missing highway road texture problem second time around in TDU2.

Had a second/third look at the video. Horizon pop in wasn’t that bad, but the missing textures unacceptable. Hoping this issue will be patched in FH2 (ASAP) and not in the next iteration of the franchise.

Still getting the game though!
