Hey guys I just wanted to ask if this game plays anything like PGR of old? PGR will always be one of my favorite racing franchises and was sad to see it go. I have been on the fence about the Xbone but this seems like the game that has sold me. Just wondered if it felt at all like PGR. I loved the first horizon.

I think so. I actually had moments in the game that made me think of PGR.
It seems to me that the people who made PGR said “Hey lets just go work for Turn 10 instead of competing against them”. Thats how horizon came about…in my mind.
That be a genius idea if they did. The game does have its PGR style of racing and if people want a real simulator environment there’s forza 5.
If you like PGR, (PGR2 was my fave) or the Need For Speed: Underground series… You’ll feel right at home.
I’m pretty sure there are a few guys from BC working for Turn 10, as well as Sumo Digital (makers of the FH2on the 360)

PGR2 was my favorite racing game of all time until Horizon 2. It’s like PGR and Burnout Paradise with a little Rallisport Challenge thrown in.
I don’t understand why everyone keeps bringing up PGR for this game. Horizon 2 is very similar to the first Horizon, which also had points for driving stylishly. It’s not a new feature!
Admittedly I didn’t read the forums when the first Horizon came out to know if it was mentioned then too… But there has been several sites saying this game reminds them of kudos from the PGR series and it bugs me. Did people completely ignore the fact that you got points in Horizon 1?
We said the same thing about Horizon 1. In fact, we said it even more because then it was common knowledge that several developers from Bizarre Creations helped form Playground Games.
