Festival Playlist events and rewards Sep. 21-28 (Autumn S25)

That’s a wonderful livery! I might try highlighting certain parts of the car. Thanks for the idea! (That is, as long as it’s not signature. I don’t want to steal anything!!)

I will have to install that one, too!

The ev wasn’t so bad. Better that expected I guess.

Highlighting certain parts of the car is a pretty fundamental part of livery design, I’m pretty sure. No way any one person can claim that.

So, to clear out that terrible silver and black Raiders vibe, I went something a little more Kansas City-ish for the next one:

Honda 2015 Ridgeline Baja Trophy Truck (Red and White): 110 125 404
Base coat of 2-tone polish (with both tones being pure red… so it’s just a red polish). That’s the base coat and the wheels, then white gloss vinyl over that, and then I put vinyl groups on that normally use red, but I instead used vinyl masks to reveal the polished red for all the logos (Kansas City, Motul, Thai Express, and Liqui Moly)

Oops!…lol thanks for the heads up on that. Thanks for giving those tunes a few more victories! That Subie would look great in a Golf livery! Also love the Motul branding as well. Used their products for years and had a support sponsorship from them and still use Motul in my road cars.

So to me it looks like they mixed up the right and left sides and put the diagonal split for the cap to open on the wrong side and missed the split line from the bonnet to bumper on the right side. The split from bonnet to bumper should have been reversed / duplicated and the diagonal split for the cap should’ve been on the left of the car. The split on the right side of the car should be the bonnet / bumper line and the cap split removed to make it part of the side wing.

I’m sure it will come as no surprise that I’m already working on next seasons playlist tunes.

Here’s what we know so far:

SC: Going on Tour-A800 GT & Super GT- Street

SC: A Minor Inconvenience-C600 Mini & Morris-Dirt
Assuming this means Mini Traveller and not Mini Cooper’s?

PR Stunts: A800 Mazda RX-7 Spirit R-Drift Zones
Reservoir
Arbolada
Hillside

Hot Wheels SC: Saleen Machine-S1 Saleen-Non-Hazard

HW PR Stunt: Hammers Shadow Speed Trap-S1 Audi R8 V10 Plus

Any insights on the Trial?
Seems like the pic is showing Classic Muscle and Modern Muscle?

I’ll be honest, I struggled with making a scheme for the iX. The fact that 0,0 on one side of the car doesn’t match up with 0,0 on any other side made aligning the stripes a pain. Anyway, An Attempt was made:

I’ve taken a look at the Rivian ingame. I don’t know where the problem is? Except for the mapping being a distorted mess with stretched and misaligned surface all around.

When it comes to the front there is no “wrong” bevelling. That’s an optical illusion resulting from the parting line around the cap. Not sure what is throwing you off here? Maybe that the sides aren’t exactly mirrored when it comes to transfering vinyls from one side to the other?

Here is how it looks with some manual adjusting.

Just started this week yesterday. Except for doing the rest of the dailies on Wednesday night, i took a week off from the game. Were it not for cars hidden behind the playlist, it might’ve been a lot longer. The playlist works, i guess. Anyways … the trial. Didnt feel like getting comprehensive so i just messed with the '71 Skyline. Heres the results from my first swing at it with my 2nd build. And sorry for the “screenshot” quality. Onedrive and i have major beef, hehe.

Further attempts at the trial resulted in about as much joy as being made to stare at a BMW iX, A Clockwork Orange style. So i went to Cruce rivals. After a few runs, i came up with 03:02.683. Good for #181, but sloppy. My ghost I raced and beat by 0.501 seconds was ahead of me by almost a second at one point. I was weak all over the place, different spots in each run. Inconsistent. My on the board time is pretty embarrassing in the first couple turns. Bottomline is that this build is easily capable of 3:01s in better hands. Maybe quicker than that.

The build looks a lot different than the one Tony shared or the one I saw from Saeenu. Im not sure mine is better at Cruce … probably not but i wouldnt know firsthand (my driving doesnt do tunes of others justice) … but i’ll describe it because its different, in case anyone’s interested and can get some ideas from it on how to make it better:

RWD. 3.2L I6 swap. Bodykit. Race rear wing and removed rear bumper for appearance’s sake. Street tires. 285mm rear tires. 235mm front tires. Stock rims and rim sizes. Stock brakes. Race springs, anti-roll bars and weight reduction. Stock chassis reinforcement (no rollcage). Race intake manifold. Stock clutch and transmission. Sport driveline. Rally differential.

The non-stock front tire width came from my messing with S1 cars in the last few weeks and my first '71 build had max front tire widths, just to test. This was my second swing at it and the choice was pretty arbitrary. Seemed real-world reasonable. In case anyone wants my tune, here’s the SC, but I’d keep expectations low. How’s that for some personal marketing?

pretty good, will check it tomorrow
unless my game decides to not start after todays crash, we will see :upside_down_face:
have you tried stock front tires width + front aero? maybe won’t turn as good, but it is always few PI saved for more power

Havent tried that yet, but that usually where i go first, especially on street races. And by “usually” I mean every single time ever except for this time. Truth be told, for all the time I’ve put into the game, I’ve only started builds for specific courses in the last few weeks. Its mostly been “put a basic tune on a car and move on, because i have 999 more to go … oh what? … now 1999 more to go”. I always have these personal projects in FH games that i plan to finish before getting serious about rivals or perfecting things. After 1000s of hours, i never get there. And all joking aside, I’d be really surprised if anyone really liked an RWD drive from me. Real talk.

my guess is trial will be MUSCLE CARS A800

and yeah traditionally the Morris Mini championship doesn’t include Coopers

this is annoying bug since FH4… why can’t the car models or vinyl mirroring be symmetrical? it’s sort of baffling

used that Rivian in my stock thing - it was excellent

Is the GT there just because it’s the reward? Or is it part of the restriction too?

I wonder if it’s some mashup of classic/retro/modern muscle that isn’t an actual restriction in the game.

they usually show the reward racing with the restrictions

I knew it would be good when I tried it stock in monthly rivals

Right, they’re just showing it because it’s the reward.
I’m not good at recognizing the cars from these pics but to me it looks like two muscle cars from different eras so you might be right about it being a mashup of muscle, especially since it seems like that’s sort of the theme of the season based on the other two championships.

I’m going to tune the modern, classic and retro muscle cars to A800 just in case it includes all 3.

that would be my guess, modern muscle with off-road tires usually fits nicely in the A800 build. definitely tune all the Morris, there probably aren’t a lot out there at the moment. gt/sgt is my last priority, it’s oversaturated.
