DeBerti is okay for today’s daily.
why? they’re very easy and quick
try the Hot Wheels one if you have it, the DeBerti worked for me (just curious)
I use a lot of custom paintjobs and liveries on my cars so I find the quickest way to complete these is if I have a spare duplicate car in my garage without any locked design on it. Otherwise I have to remove the locked design first, repaint the car, then rummage around the my designs menu to put the design back on.
It happened in last week’s weekly with the Diablo SV and I ended up switching to another Diablo and repainting that one since the one I was using was a user made one with the big SV stickers on the sides. Otherwise I’d have an extra loading screen to remove the design. Downloading custom designs to the car also doesn’t count
Luckily I had a spare fox body in my garage so happy days
stock options, series 39 “Back to the 90’s”, week 3 winter/dry season
[loose basis for approach; cheapest car that’ll do the stunts, least-driven car for races]
weekly “Civic Duty” – Honda Civic ‘97
trial “Only Bulls & Horses” – Ferrari 512TR (beat 2 robots then 1; robot rammers)
eventlab “JCO Project Race3 Airport” – Corvette ’70 (nice; I’m reminded of Deus Ex)
eventlab “Cathedral GP” – Volvo C30P (decent circuit)
eventlab “Cauldron Rally Circuit” – No.14 Ford Fiesta (nice one, liked it)
games “Get Your Game On, Go Play!” – Hoonigan Focus (2 events, 3 heals, 10 infections, nice!)
danger sign “Baja Showjump” – Toyota Celica’94 (a bit tricky; 175.35m)
speed trap “Dustbowl” – Toyota Supra ‘92 (slightly tricky; 120.65mph)
speed zone “Desierto Viviente” – Toyota Celica’94 (a bit tricky; 88.32mph)
championship “90s Icons: Jaguar XJ220” – Jaguar D-Type (easy wins)
championship “Fur-By Fours” – VelociRaptor '19 (wins; 1 slightly tricky then 2 fairly easy)
RA drift zone “Tierras Verdes” – LR Defender (fairly easy; 124,429)
RA championship “Room for Desert?” – Mit. Evo III '95 (very easy wins)
HW speed trap “Hammer’s Shadow” – Vaux Carlton (quite tricky; 170.76mph)
HW championship “Everlong” – Ferrari F50 GT (very easy win)
I take any chance to use the Ford F-450 Super Duty DRW Platinum. That thing on a cross country run is an absolute battle ram. Highlight of this week’s rather quick series
Had just left my home location & noticed an entire convoy roll up in an apparent car meet, so I couldn’t resist jumping in the Nova for a photo bomb opp
Was actually pretty cool to see a group enjoying the game like this, as I’ve not seen that in a while. Hopefully they didn’t mind me joining in briefly:
I wonder whether you stumbled across the FailRace filming crew. They’ve been doing FH5 videos recently and tend to line up like this while Alex does commentary ahead of the races.
Not familiar with them, but could be: they all seemed pretty organized for sure & really didn’t hang around too long (hopefully that wasn’t bc of me )
'98 Impreza STI for the seasonal PRs: 265 190 174
HW PR Speed Trap: Jag XJ220: 170 993 017
I’ve done a ton of car meets with my discord and they almost always get photo bombed. It’s usually not a problem since we’re all in photo mode and can’t see you anyways.
It’s kind of fun and funny to come out of photo mode and see we’ve attracted a crowd. The best are the ones who guessed the theme of the meetup correctly and joined in the lineup.
As long as you’re not parking on top of the other cars I doubt it was an issue.

This “earn 5 pass skills in Open” task is painful and I hate it. That is all.
I was a bit surprised by it. Thought it was going to be horrible but just drove really badly in a rubbish car and . . . it was done. Very odd.
Same here - I was counting the Pass Skills given and only got to 2 counted but quit event and it was done. I think it counts over multiple races in the event maybe ? even when they don’t get shown.
I mean full disclosure I don’t enjoy Open at all and only do it when it’s a Playlist task, so I’m already prejudiced against it. And I may have finished it earlier than I did, because for some stupid reason 5 doesn’t show the task pop-up in the middle of events like 4 did. But what I did experience was pretty miserable. Like how the first part of every race has everyone ghosted, so you can’t earn any pass skills then. Then you go solid, and the people driving meta cars are already way out in front, so forget them. For those who are left, 90% of the time when you try to make a pass you get ghosted due to “high speed collision” nonsense, or the other car turns sideways and smacks into you, or maybe you hit them, or you both hit the wall and nothing counts. Fun times.
Agreed - The Open is just a wreck-fest of idiot drivers out there to prove a point to nobody but themselves.
I agree. I do run open if I’m in the mood but of course the playlist addition means it’s mandatory if completion is wanted. I was in a lobby with 3 others and one player who was a very good driver, went past me slowed down used his horn and we swapped passes until we knew we had got the five required. We got lucky there but I always think those who have regular convoys have an easy time when these tasks appear.
if anyone wants help see if I’m in the game and message - I usually have this open as well as xbox messaging
and discord
