If you’re talking about the Treasure Hunt, it’s the Airfield Speed Zone - Think you only need 1 star to complete. In a Willys Jeep… Yes NE, just above the eastern edge of the airstrip - just above the drag strip race. Once you get it, the treasure is on the airstrip itself nearer the jump end.

Excuse my very late post for this weeks tunes. If you are still looking to get your rewards. Give this tunes a try. I usually try to use cars that other tuners don’t use. I’m pretty happy with my tunes for this week. Thank you in advance for any downloads or feedback!

Drift zone challenge. TVR. Any TVR. Bone stock tune.
Now the qualifier is; I’m by no means a drifting expert at all.
This challenge, it should be an easy do with any TVR in just stock setup. I even did it with traction and stability on.

Now I’m not going to say it easy anyone can do it because we all are on different levels. But if you’re having trouble with this challenge, turn off traction and stability.

Earned the song via Co-op again. TVR Sagaris with ESV Mars “:)” tune 866 957 634 is butter. Too good.

Felt rude not to use the Mini '65 during UK week. I went co-op for that tourney as well and used Korrupt EU’s tune 182 585 916

Do you run in auto ? Manual in b class would give a large boost,which is what i assumed the couple of people who zoomed past me were using

No PentEd, i always run in manual and manual plus clutch. This one was in manual though. Just can’t figure out why. I’ve seen it before in other stock races and i’m neck and neck with another player yet they are pulling away… Corner bombers annoyed me the most though to be honest, they usually send me from the front of the pack to the back, no ethics, no morals, just plain nasty deliberate corner bombing.

There is plenty of debris everywhere, so maybe that? Also any slide will kill your momentum.
But I have seen few people with “very good gaming chairs” in these stock car Trials, so may be that as well.

Do you remember what times you was getting around La Selva?

From my quick tests around La Selva. Difference between auto and M+C is around 1sec. Gear changes are very quick, so they are not the problem. The time difference was made by automatic changing to 5th gear in 2nd half of the track, where with manual I’m keeping car in 4th for better powerband usage. Bascially, the whole dirt part I’m doing in 4th gear.

As an auto user this is spot on, the change to 5th on that section really bogged the car down, fortunately I managed to manipulate it on the 3rd lap with several very brief lift offs and keep it in 4th until near the 90 degree final corner.

That is something I’ll praise FH4 + 5 for over the older titles though, refusing to change down + unwanted upshifts still happen but they are much better + less frequent.

Hopefully back to upgraded cars in the next series’ trials though, it adds a layer of replayability on it’s own when there’s a choice of what you can use.

I’ve always wondered that myself. I didn’t record my times but i’ll have a look next run at the Trial. I run 4th as well btw :+1:

I had a big, wide stupid grin on my face doing that. Easily did over 350,000 (over double the requirement), but capable of much much more if I wasn’t so busy doing this:

I drive auto as well. I have found that a quick tap on the handbrake will. more often that not, force a down change. It is annoying when you are bogged down in a gear.
They need to find a happy medium for the Trials, stock for players is sometimes too difficult, stock for AI is too easy. Either way you will not get rid of the corner bombers.

Good thing that Jeremy got kicked out from Top Gear for his annoying personality.

I drive auto as well. I use just a we bit of power braking to force a downshift when I want a kickdown. Seems to help keep the speed up. This is where giving auto users a semi-manual shift kit would be an awesome addition to the transmission selection. Give us auto with manual downshift or give us auto with shift point setup.

Well, isn’t manual (without clutch) doing that already? I’d rather see your other suggestion be used (programmable shift points). That seems more likely (nothing really seems likely at this point) than a half manual.

Auto doesn’t have manual downshift capabilities. But I think that would be the easiest to implement.

How I use my irl paddles. I’ve gotten used to braking briefly for downshifts, works well enough for me.

Tomorrow on the last day of the series (November 9th) we get an interesting final daily challenge. Earn 5 speed skills in the eliminator. Pretty sure you can’t get any speed skills in the stock beetle, (maybe even a level 2 or 3 car?) so this could potentially be an annoying one or slightly time consuming compared to all the other dailies. The worst one so far this series was completing a horizon open race (non custom championship) in the 13’ Viper. Only 24 hours to complete this one vs the other dailies lasting all week too.
