Did you try taking the picture during a racing event instead of in freeroam mode? If so which event did you use? (game event, EventLab event, Street Race or Sprint or Circuit etc)

only freeroam, game crashes when i try take a photo on oval race. Im on PC
edit: after 3 system restart I did it

IIRC, the game crashes on PC when you open Photo Mode in a race if you have raytracing maxed in settings. I set all my stuff to medium or whatever settings and lowered the resolution, restarted the game, loaded the race, took the photo, upped the settings again, restarted the game again and then went on with the Playlist. 
speed traps don’t activate if you go through them slow enough
the first horizon had a few tasks involving driving quickly between two points without setting off a speed trap, note off-road driving wasn’t really a thing in that game
yeah, I had done speed traps before noticing the red circle, not sure when it appeared - two 3-star efforts in the Ariel Atom, did other things, then saw the red circle but at that point I hadn’t even looked at the treasure hunt requirement
I might have been through other speed traps while generally driving around but no idea, really, what happened

I think this is at least the 3rd straight week that the treasure hunt reward was FP instead CR. With the 2nd backstage pass now in the shop for 1000FP, i really appreciate this.

Used the manta for the trial.
Got tboned on the first event, couldn’t catch them after that so settled for second. Team a bit lucky to win as a human dropped out or quit.
Second event, drove away into the distance. Only 4 players on the team helped to win.
Used a stock S1 Porsche (so many I can’t think of which one) for the pr stunts and the M2 FD stock for the drift zone.

Seriously going to make me do a seasonal. Really? Enough already. Enough. Asking too much. Wastes more time loading. Here’s an idea make it so I don’t have to load each race separately like in H2.

Can Confirm in Freeroam it neither does see it as being on the Oval nor in a Porsche
But doing the Oval Race and Takin the Pic Works

That seems like a loaded task for those that are having the issue. I’m almost certain no car works since trying some that worked for others didn’t solve the issue.
This happens based on user accounts. My wife and I play on the same computer with different accounts so for all intents and purposes, we’re running the exact same set up. It works for me and not for her. Plain and simple.
The Photograph challenge worked for me. I entered the race in a Porsche, took a photo, and i was done.
Treasure was highway speedtrap in 2012 Ferrari 599XX Evolution.

I’m tempted to say that’s not necessary. I got the treasure but haven’t used that one for quite a long time.
I can’t, though, say you’re wrong, because my first proper encounter with that task was when I saw a red circle on Mulegé, I went there and the chest was where it was supposed to be.

I just used what was in the photo and picked a random speedtrap. 
I must admit though, i went through a speedtrap beforehand in a Porsche 911, and it didn’t activate the treasure.

I saw that red circle before noticing the picture! I had done the weekly, which needed speed traps, I think I saw it at that point, so stock Ariel Atom, 2x3*, but I did the playlist PR stunt, too, before getting to the treasure (another 3*, Charger '69 FE)
