Ferrari LaFerrari

In what events did you guys find your LaFerrari most competitive in?

As soon as I got mine, I entered the R-Class Competition series—and got blown out of the water by the Hennessey Venom. That car is ridiculously quick through corners, and is unbeatable through the straightaways. It kind of disappointed me that I wasn’t more competitive with it. Of course, skill has more to do with success than raw power but, for all the ground that I gained in maneuvering through turns better than the CPU, I felt like most of it was lost on the straight and narrow (especially in Abu Dhabi).

Am I expecting too much out of it? Is it not as great as I’m thinking? Or am I just doing it wrong?

Have you a good tune for it? I didn’t like it much at first but after giving it a good tune I really love it. I usually don’t have issues beating Hennessy’s in it now.

It’s normal to get beaten by the straight line heroes like the Veyron or the Venom. I’ve used the LaFerrari in the Hypercars event and It wasn’t easy. The gap from the first 3 or 4 drivatars grew quickly and I really needed to push it to the limit to get on the podium. It was the same using the P1 or a twin-turbocharged Veneno. You just can’t compete with 1200+ HP monsters on the straights.

Tune, tune, tune and tune some more! I spent a lot of time with the LaFerrari and you can make it corner pretty much like the 333SP…Like it’s on rails glued to the track! You should be able to do the Porsche curves at LeMans without EVER having to use the brakes with this car, just coast the entry to the corners. The Venom when built correctly is the monster of LeMans on the straightaways at close to 250 on the shortened modern Mulsanne but it’s skittish in the corners. Same for the Veyron except it corners like a pregnant turtle, flat and waddly. The Ferrari CAN beat both in Pro mode and if you change that transmission final drive ratio towards acceleration WAY up there until it just yellow arrows the end of the Mulsanne it will scream down the straight. You MUST set it up to run out of gearing just before it turns red arrows for braking. This will help your acceleration everywhere on any track. Don’t forget the racing brakes! You’re gonna’ need 'em!

Good luck! May Enzo be with you!

Yes, In fact I DO own all the Ferrari’s in the game! Why do they ALL want to be in R class? Because they are FERRARI’S!!!

I was working on the Ferrari F-40 last night and found a magic Rosso Corsa bullet for the Veyron and Venom.

Auto upgrade the F-40 to Race Class. This will put you down around 863 instead of 899 (999?) Go in and change the final drive ratio to 4.75 and change the brakes to 55/45 (move the slider right to 45%).
Hold on tight! Test car at Le Mans modern track. Car should brake quickly and in a straight line and corner like it’s glued to the track. On the Mulsanne Straight (First long straight) you should just about hit peak revs at 22x MPH before red arrows pop up. Re-adjust final gear ratio if it doesn’t. Re-test. Works? Good!

Race at Pro Level at Le Mans. Note that you will start around 5th because you are lower than top of the class. Don’t worry. On the start you should be able to pass all the leaders before the first left hander. If you don’t you soon will.
Continue on slaughtering the rest of the field.
Car is an absolute rocketship and the engine sound is like a heavenly choir. Sweetest car I’ve driven yet if Forza 5 and just unbeleiveable acceleration! There is nothing else so far that can catch it. Top speed on the Venom is better but the F-40 will out accelerate it and already be un-catchable. Add 4 more laps and there will be no one behind you you can see on the map.

Just a note. On other tracks you will need to change the settings on the wings slowing it down some but giving it more grip. Add wing both front and back.

Have Fun!

Now go and install the stock tyres and you have a pretty decent S-class car

Mad Dog, is that La Ferrari tune shared? if so i’ll think i’ll give it a go
