Fast cars not "starting" after spin out?

Ok… me and my buddy have finally decided to move out beyond the C class cars even though we still suck.

One of the things still “baffling” us is, after a spin out, the car just not gaining any RPMS/moving/anything like that. Sometimes I’ll hold down the clutch or gear into 2nd and it will start, but it seems random.

This goes hand in hand with driving X class or similar cars. What’s the secret to driving these bad boys? It seems like the drivatars are immune to spin outs, but when I slow down or slow my acceleration they just burn by me - what am I doing wrong?

The fix seems to reside in adjusting the gear ratios. Hear over to the Tuner’s Lounge for some helpful tips.

Stock tunes aren’t built to combat this? I’m using “tunes by worm” and raceboy77 tunes when not using stock.

As with real life these cars are a hassle to get started. Basically if you arent revving them all the way out you are stalling them. Sounds like this is whats happening.

No. It’s been acknowledged within these forums that no matter what you do with some cars (rev until the cows come home) they will semi-stall at the line and getting them back up to speed will take a second or two.

There are tunes out there that attempt to combat this, specifically.

Thats likely because of the tune and the gearing. I recall in forza 4 especially in the spark, some would adjust the gearing so much for hotlapping that the car would barely get off the line, but once you got off the line man would it move. First gear was so long that you almost needed a tow.

I believe many of these cars are the same way, they are geared to use first for launch and then to never see it again.

Ah, F class Spark taking 15 seconds to get to 60… memories! lol

OP - most race cars (X especially) have semi-auto gearboxes, meaning the driver doesn’t touch the clutch (F1 use clutch to launch but never to change gear after that). Try switching to manual only, as this normally cures the stalling issue, and the lap times in high end cars tend to be same if not better with no clutch.
