Today, I joined a S Class Lobby because I wanted to get my Mercedes affinity up. We get Watkins Glen Alternate and the race is going fine except for the lag. On the 3rd lap, some guy named HCR Motorhead in a Shelby Daytona passes me on the outside of the first turn. The game lags and I hit him. I say in the game “Was that lag or my mistake.” Some guys says something but I couldn’t distinguish what he said. I give the HCR his spot back and finish the race. When we get to the screen with the Forza Logo, some guy says “reported.” [Mod Edit - Don’t name names, for the same reason you’re describing here - MM] I ask him why he reported me and this is our basic conversation.
“You took him out on purpose.”
“No I didn’t, It was lag.”
“No it wasn’t, you took him out. People like you ruin this game.”
“Like I said, it was lag. I even waited for him and gave him his spot back.”
“That doesn’t matter, you still did it on purpose.”
“So you reported me. It didn’t even have an affect on you.”
“Yes it did. I’m tired of people like you ruining this game. I hope you get banned permanently.”
“That makes sense. Getting banned over an accident.”
“You deserve it.”
He then leaves. Now I need to make some points,
He is level 90 something. I am level 230. I know way more than him about racing in this game.
He is trying to get me banned off Xbox (which I’ve had for 4 years) when he got his on 12/16/15.
He doesn’t even have DLC or VIP. He is trying to make me lose money over a little accident.
HCR Motorhead didn’t report me and hes the one I spun.
I’m one of the cleanest racers on the game when I’m racing other clean racers.
You’ll be fine man. Chances are, you won’t be banned, as it was an honest mistake. Don’t let the entitled guys of the game get to you (I know they can be annoying), just enjoy the game. HCR is a good guy and I’m sure he didn’t mean for whoever called you out to act that way.

I apologise so much for lagging. I reset my game after it said ‘weak network connection’ at the bottom.
That guy you mentioned, he got mad at me for something and wrecked me, then called me dirty at Road America. However when he realised that we both gave ‘good intentions’ (I use inverted commas in his case), he stopped messaging me and gave me respect on track again. Perhaps my lag didn’t help!
Edit: Don’t worry about the report. You’ll be fine. Hopefully the other guy will try not to be so trigger happy!
Reports to XBL PET mean nothing unless wrongdoing can be proven.
Reports to Turn 10 will only be acted on, based on what has been explained to me, if there is video proof of deliberate crashing. It sounds like video evidence would back your story so don’t stress about it.
Yes you can, although it’s only for the past 6 months. Just login with your email linked to GT then click the Rep tab, this will show you what you’ve been reported for/how many times and what you’ve reported people for.
No, you can’t tell. Usually people who threaten to report you don’t. They are just verbal bullies. Believe me, anything reported to the Xbox Live Policy Enforcement Team (PET), just like within the game to the available resources, is verified, studied and must absolutely provide evidence of wrongdoing before any action is taken.
My reputation went from “Good Player” to “Needs Improvement.” This guy is trying to the the Forza Police.

I’m one of the cleanest racers on the game. Ask GR1M RACER, STELLA STIG, ARH abc, casper 10801, VVV DJT R, xboxgamer969, or Zillah Kalifah and they will all tell you that I’m clean and fast. It’s not my fault, it was lag…
Firstly one report wouldnt change your reputation to “needs improvement”
Secondly if you arent doing anything wrong you shouldnt worry about it
You dont get banned for innocent mistakes
Unless you do wreck deliberately even if it is in retaliation
You could always report them for harassment
There’s really no need for them to send you that message

What track
Names of the wreckers
What car they are driving
Detailed description of the incidents
Please watch the whole race and make sure that it is 100% deliberate before you send it to him.
