The problem with that is that the best cars for offroading on horizon are supercars, so off-road vehicles serve no benefit. Sure, they’re nice to have, but not competitive for any purpose.
Yep. I was hoping for a New Zealand expansion but then got that load of tripe.

I would actually like another rally dlc. Kill me now but I just now beat the rally on forza horizon. shows how often I play 360 games lol. Loved blizzard mountain and had fun on hot wheels even though hot wheels wasn’t my favorite. I am really hoping that one day horizon makes its way to Texas. fast straights got em, winding roads and hills got em different environments from desert areas to lush forest areas got em . and to go along with seasons lol hell Texas has all the season in one week most of the time sometimes in the same day.

I never played the forza horizon rally expansion but it looks like everything I want from an expansion. The rally (scramble/trail) events on Horizon 3 are not bad, but it would be better if they were time based alike real rallying and if there was in-depth rally pacenotes too. Most of the point to point events were too short as well.
Short, completely divorced from the open world nature of the game, and basically pointless beyond giving a couple of upgrades that are fun to play around with at the golf course?
If you say so… Though I would like more “realistic type rally” focus in the game.
I am extremely excited for the expansions coming to FH4. The main map seems cool enough but is missing some of the Major elements of the UK such as the tight crowded alleyways and streets in London. This has me wishing that one of the expansions is such, a London-esque city with many narrow places and lots of traffic. To me, this would be a fantastic place to hone your drift skills. How do you guys feel about it?

London never exist in FH4
It doesn’t exist in the main game, it doesn’t mean it can’t be part of an expansion.
Since I agree with those around here that are saying that the Hot Wheels expansion shows that anything’s possible when it comes to Horizon, I like Isle of Man. I’ll do you one better, though: a bike add-on. They may have said in the various streams I never watch that bikes weren’t coming, but if not, the time seems to be right for them.
I’m going rally expansion for the second one, set in Wales.
Bikes cannot work in Forza games. Just think about the ramming problems from other players online. It would also have to be horrifically unrealistic in order to prevent the bikes from falling over in certain circumstances; and what would happen if I bike got hit by the train!?
They work in The Crew, Midnight Club (OK, not a great example), PGR (better example) and TDU, which leads me to believe that if done properly, they could work in F:H, too.
Plus, I’m pretty sure that once upon time “F1 cars/open wheelers will never work because physics” was a thing, and that no one ever predicted the existence of Trophy Trucks or Formula Trucks in Forza. I don’t have to tell you how all that tuned out.

I’m with those who prefer the more serious take on DLC - I know it’s a game for ‘everybody’ but for me the Horizon games are best when they’re not being too ridiculous.
My favourite DLC’s in order:
- Horizon Rally
- Blizzard Mountain
- Storm Island
- Hot Wheels
Another structured, proper rally game would be amazing. I feel like most people missed Horizon Rally and that is a shame. The courses and more hardcore nature of it was a really good addition to the main game. Driving around open world fields does not compare in the slightest for me.

Yep, couldn’t agree more. It’s more fun to do ridiculous things in a realistic environment than to do ridiculous things in a ridiculous environment. I think that’s what horizon is about really; doing ridiculous things in a real life setting, that’s what makes them fun.

Isle of Man is a definite. Its off north to scotland and its part of british sporting culture.
Then theres the rally scene thats been huge for a while.
The thing I noticed is that expansions 1 and 2 are included in the Ultimate edition.
I’ll put money down right now that this time we’re getting more than the standard 2 expansions.
Logic says they’d just give you an expansion pass rather than expansion 1 and 2 if there were going to be just the 2.
Probably, but the more I think about it (in fact I predicted it to be the case a few posts up), the fact that it seems so obvious suggests to me that it won’t be happening.
I have thought about 4 things recently that are possible:
- Isle of Man surely is what the community wants, and it could be possible. Very close to the location of FH4 and it has a huge car/bike culture.
- Goodwood. Now this came to my mind when I thought about the lack of modern Supercars like the 488 Pista or the C7 ZR1. It would be amazing seeing these cars with the Goodwood area in my opinion.
- The Horizon 2 Map. This would probably be the biggest expansion of any racing game ever, but think about it: Many fans (that don´t have the nostalgia-factor for FH1) say that FH2 had the best map in the entire series (And I do not want to start a discussion here… please just don´t do it). Seeing it again with new graphics and seasons would be incredible!
- Something we never expect because it does not exist. The recent expansions were all fictional places based on the real world, most likely due to licensing. And adding seasons to an entirely fictional area would be way easier for PG than doing so in a place that actually exists. I´m not blaming them at all, apart from Hot Wheels all expansions were super great in my opinion!
These are my thoughts…
your #1 and # 4 guesses are probably your best; FH:2 was just released for free on Xbox With Gold (and Game Pass, I guess, though I don’t have it so don’t really know how it works), so that seems unlikely. I like Goodwood, but it really is only one stretch of road (on a large, private expanse of land) and I have a feeling your “lack of supercars” note will probably get addressed as we see more of the car list.
I’d love an Isle of Man expansion. … and have them add in historic Isle of Man TT bikes… but I know the chances of that happening are very low…
Ok. My idea for an expansion pack might be unlikely, due to licensing issues today, but I would very, very, VERY much like to see a (classic) Ghostbusters expansion. The setting could be somewhere in the U.K. that has foreboding locations in the Fall season, with random ghosts and ghouls flying around, and that we get to drive the Ghostbusters Ecto-1, with working lights and sounds, with classic and/or modern ambulances or hearses included in the pack. We have had many movie cars from Fast & Furious, the Falcon from Mad Max, the Plymouth Fury from Christine, and the classic DB5 from James Bond, so why not give the Ecto-1 a chance to be involved in the Forza franchise? Wouldn’t anyone here like to see this happen one day? I know I would.
