I paid for those! I earnt those and you just took them away when you didnt have to because nothing has been sorted out in courts yet and what do you give to those who had earnt it? Nothing! Thats [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D]! If youre going to take away emotes from people then you should at least replace them with something! You people have consistently failed to make this game function properly. You have issues with the game launching if people have AV programs installed (an issue that has existed since H3 and you still do nothing about it) constant DNS issues, constant crashes and constant no fixes for any of it and then you go and pull this crap because youre too damn cowardly to stand your ground.
It’s honestly safer for them to remove them right now and save a bit of legal grief. If the case is thrown out (which it should since they’re simply dance moves) I wouldn’t be shocked if the removed emotes are put back in. If the case goes in the favor of the people claiming issue with it, Playground Games doesn’t have to rush a last minute update to avoid legal issues.
Yeah, it sucks. I loved seeing my driver doing the Carlton after every race. However, as I said above, it’s understandable. Also don’t get your hopes up for compensation, it’s something that is technically free in the game. It’s not like they had to remove an entire car brand after launch. That would warrant some in game compensation.
but Forza points are also FREE
you don’t buy them , you just play the game to get them just the same way you get the ridiculous amount of wheelspins
how trivial are some people to expect compensation for a couple of removed useless emotes which most of the people on here have complained about being in the game in the first place, probably you same people expecting compensation as well
Lol, reading your post sounds like asking for compensation = committing crime.
Some people spent time to earn the forzapoints for (super-) wheelspins and instead of the now revoked emotes they could have gotten rare cars. I hope you get the point. I’m not insisting to get anything, because it didn’t matter to me either. But no one would get hurt if we got at least something.
Btw, I never complained about the emotes being included, didn’t care at all. So you’d better be careful when pointing your finger at others and ‘putting them into drawers’.
The quote Robocop is referencing is “I’d buy that for a quarter” from the 1951 C.M. Kornbluth SF story Marching Morons. Obviously, updated for inflation!
The phrase “I’d buy that for a {currency unit of choice}” has been around for a while.
Playground are just playing with the cultural reference and updating it to suit the UK.
No one mourns the loss of a dance. No one WANTS more dances added in to dilute an already cluttered prize pool of 1000+ t-shirts and horns which refuse to unlock (I “won” the sad trombone horn for the fifth time now).
Tell me this: if given a choice between getting the dances back, or five extra Super Spins as compensation for losing those dances, what would you pick? You’re not moaning about the dances-- you want to get something out of your contrived affront.
I think as compensation they should remove all the other emotes, and while they are there they might as well remove the entire pointless avatar/clothing system ;).
I would rather have car related exclusive items like those Goodyear tires for my muscle cars…light racks available for all 4 by 4’s …or legendary racing liveries for certain cars like Ferraris, Porsches, etc…exclusive or retro wheels!
That is not only relevant but so obvious, I am surprised the idea of adding car parts as rewards was not the first priority over clothing and dances.
Imagine if we could win goodyear eagle tires and have an inventory of car parts instead of stupid dances. You would have races with all cars wearing race tires and looking correct at the grid.
The falcon looks great in race rubber, the only other car to have the same tires wouldn’t be found in the same race in real life.
+1 for adding unique car parts to the wheel spins so we can dress up our cars instead of dressing up avatars we cant even see most of the time.
