This is something I’ve noticed happening more frequently as time goes on. Some times when cornering I get a fairly noticeable frames per second loss, especially when sliding. I’ve only ever noticed this in rivals matches, not in a full race even with 15 cars. It’s not game breaking because it’s not a large enough loss to affect playability, but it can be distracting.
After hundreds and hundreds of laps for the Bounty Hunter challenge, I didn’t experience any hits. Of course, that doesn’t mean you didn’t experience it. You weren’t running telemetry were you?
I get the opposite. Runs fine with one car on track but get the occasional blip in traffic and particularly during first corner mayhem in online races.
Hulu might be running in the background sometimes but the time that it just happened to cause me to make this post FM5 would have been the only thing running. I should add it does happen on some tracks and not others. Shadow Edge brought up never seeing this during the Bounty Hunter Challenge and I can say that I never experienced it on Road America as well. The tracks that I notice it the most on are Catalunya, especially during the first 2 turns and I’ve noticed it on Indy GP as well. Oddly enough it doesn’t seem to happen on tracks that are visually intensive like Bernese Alps and Prague. It’s also not every lap. I could run 10 laps and it might only occur on 2 of those 10.
