Drive a car through the forest at night

Was this made up to get the world record of insanely annoying missions in a game??

Very short time, you have to be very fast, and there is no way of keeping Control of car in a bumpy grassy downhill With 10 000 Threes. Just got the game and hope its not more of these happy go Lucky after 100 retries…

If you’re talking about the lancia delta bucket list challenge it is definitely the most difficult bucket list challenge (followed by the bowler exr s challenge) but it is doable. You don’t have to fly through the forest but if you hold around 80mph down the hill you can make it. If you stay in the forest and head straight for the destination marker you will cross the road once and then join up with the road that heads straight to the festival and you can fly for the last half mile. Just try to keep a steady pace through the forest but anything over 90mph down that first hill you will barely have control of the car.

This is a tough one, took me about 10-12 tries. If you aren’t using cockpit or hood view I recommend you do at least for the challenge, IMO it’s easier to see that way. Also, once you do hit the straight road toward the finish and you’re accelerating, once you get to fourth gear keep it there because you’ll lose speed from the shift from fourth to fifth gear, just run fourth into the redline all the way to the finish.

I recommend the following:

Use the view were you can see the hood, but are not inside the car
Don’t use full throttle, use some reserve and throttle control
Be ready to make many small, but quick steering inputs
DO NOT follow the GPS, after the first turn - Go straight towards the event destination - just make sure you make it through the tunnel and onto the road near the end

If you stick a little bit to the right in the woods, the perpendicular paths are not as prominent. When you do see one coming, remember to let off the gas and brake slightly before it otherwise you will unsettle the car and risk hitting a tree…

I didn’t find this one particularly challenging, and I’m the king of splitting bumpers over trees in this game. If you attempt to follow the actual racing line for the race, there is no way you will make it on time.

Yeah, this challenge was crazy, but A LOT of fun once you do it. Feels so rewarding! I use a racing wheel with cockpit view, most intense race I’ve ever done. Took me 3-4 tries, just take the route mentioned above and you should be good. Had around 5 seconds left after I crossed the finish-line. This and the Bowler race were crazy fun.

This one was tough, but so good when you finally beat it. I always seemed to find that one stumpy tree that would bring the car to a grinding halt. I used the line suggested by the other posts as well, and made it with only about a second to spare.

My strategy was a tad different:

I quickly figured out that I could swing left at the start and fit through a small gap in the pillars. This allowed me to run down the hill sooner, but it is quite bumpy this way. Cross the road at the base of the hill and through the second forested area. You should emerge back on the road just before the ramps to the freeway. If you’re not at about the 45 second mark by then, you probably won’t make it.

I finished it with about 7 seconds remaining, after about 12 attempts.

I tried this route, but did not like it as much as the other one I described but really only for one reason - it takes you across several of the forest paths which threw me off and then you have the second forest area where I though the trees were closer together. It’s a good path.

Just beat this challenge last night. The trick is “learning the course”. Took me 5 or 6 runs to sort out a route through the woods. As far as controlling the car, that’s just down to skill- just keep practicing your offroading.

And don’t be afraid of the rewind button! It’s there for a reason: challenges like this one.

I enjoyed that Mission…

Admittedly, it took me about a dozen tries as well (I didn’t count), but I made it, mostly following the suggested path. Just make sure to get out of the woods without hitting anything and cut the corner where you turn right.

Oh, I guess I could have tried changing difficulty for that mission…
I gernerally disabled rewinds and restart from scratch whenever I fail. There’s no rewind when I drive in real life either.

I quite liked these two challenges (Bowler and Lancia). their manicness, barrel down the hill and through the field as fast as you can through impossible obstacles. Quite surprised to see it in this game, change of pace from most of the rest of the game, Crazy manic missions, that are few, random, and witty at their level of challenge. Sign me up!

This challenge is a wall for me. I’m still just at 170GS in this game because of this. I just went back to FH2 to trying to complete it before FH3 comes out but there it is again: one of the worst game design choices in the history of driving games.

And seriously why do you say it’s great when you beat it??? It’s good to successfully flee from a catastrophe but it’s not great or rewarding. It’s just a rescue from sth horrible.

Honest question, because I was almost preordering the ultimate FH3 edition: Will there be something similar in FH3?

I managed to complete both of those challenges, but only after many failed attempts, countless rewinds, and yelling a few expletives at the TV. But it feels great knowing they’re done! BTW I only used Chase Cam, though I probably should’ve tried Hood Cam.Edit: FH3 will likely have something like that, since there’s a jungle in the game.

These are hard, but they can be done.
All the suggestions are there, use the hood cam for the best view, don´t follow the GPS and enable the rewind if restarting over and over again is too annoying.
I can´t say I enjoyed them very much, but there is a sense of accomplishment once you complete them.

Then again, I started gaming in an era where there were no save games, you had a limited amount of lives, could actually lose a game at the last level boss after an 10 hour session.
So this, with the option of rewind if it really annoys you, is not at that level.
