Drivatar`s Confused.com

Hi (again) I was wondering if I could get some help in regards the Drivatar’s and their settings.
Reading through the forum I understand that by upping the drivel AI difficulty the drivatars tend to behave better on the higher levels, and I gather they get faster as well, so my question is if I wanted to emulate rough lap times and driving style/ times for my friends drivatars, is there an ideallevel? So that they are not being artificially sped up or slowed down, by the AI I do appreciate that their times will be slower than if doing a rivals lap as there is other traffic in the way during a race  Also when you get to 100% driver sync for a particular track, will the drivatar still continue to improve as you do or once it gets to 100% for that track does itsay` well got all the info now I need for that track, so the drivatar stays put on terms of learning.

I have to say I do really enjoy the drivator system and give it big thumbs up,
And do struggle a bit with the peps that comment that they can be a bit erratic, or not follow the racing line/brake on bends/ dive to the left and right etc sometime’s but if they all drove predictably and on the driving line wouldn’t it end up being like the old moving chicanes that we can be seen in previous Forza’s and GT’s? And yes it annoys me sometimes that I get the odd bump, but hey, that`s racing and I am far from perfect so wouldn’t expect the drivator’s to be 

I don’t think there is a special number for the drivatar system to be ideal at. The lvl isn’t for just one track it goes to everything and my friends and I have not gotten it to go above 90%. One friend is up near 2k on his profile lvl and it’s stuck at 90% also

Hi “BFK”, thank you for taking the time to reply, but think I have confused what I was asking. My overall drivatar rating is 50% ish but I noticed on some tracks it is at 100%. So what I meant to ask was once that particular track has got 100% does the drivatar still learn that particular track as and when (and if I) improve or does it think OK got that track sorted and how you drive it, so will only update when the next non 100% track is raced on? Sorry if I have miss read your reply,And you have answered my question I just still don’t quite understand. I have read the Micorsoft/T10 explanation and some on the forums, but none seem to quite hit the nail on the head for me. But I am a simple soul

Think I get what ur asking. Even with drivatar maxed for let’s say Sebring ur drivatar should continue to learn from ur driving and replace any bad behavior with good behavior as you do the track better. That same behavior it learns from Sebring should also transfer to other tracks even if you haven’t gotten those tracks 100% yet. It still won’t be just like ur driving but it will continue getting closer to it.

BFK :- thank you,I understand now  Sorry 1 more thing any idea on which level the drivatars’ should be on to ‘mimic’ actual laps times of players/ friends rather than artificially restricted / increased ? Ie should it be ‘average’ difficulty or ‘Pro’ ‘Unbeatable’ etc

That I’m not sure. I think pro is probably closest. Unbeatable make alot of mistakes and are easy to beat.

I raced with pro settting. But even then there are some track that drivertars are running me down (mainly my friends) and then others they finish 10 secs back. And I think the better you get at a track, i.e. more perfect turns, drafts, the better your drivertar gets on the track and overall.

OK Thank you both, will try PRO

I really need some advice on the Drivatars, and since you guys seem like experts I’m going to post in this thread.

I’m brand new to Forza 5, and I knew about the Drivatars. Obviously since that’s about all they talked about at E3 last year. FIrst, I only have a few friends that even played Forza 5 so their Drivatars are slow as molasses, and it’s adding in ones close to their leaderboard rank.

My issue is how they drive. I’ve never encountered such terrible AI before. I’ve seen some just swerve directly into one another, and usually right in front of me. There are parts of tracks where it’s a sixth gear, full throttle, 150+ with the turn, or brake marker no where in sight, and it’ll go full hard stop in front of me.

I run with no assists, clutch manual, and full damage on. Even small bumps in turns are catastrophic. I’ve lost brakes somehow, and nothing else from the drivatar just checking up in a straight after coming out of a turn.

Any advice on basically combating this?

Not really anything you can do until you get ur lvl higher or you can just outrun them till they get better drivatar lvls. The drivatar get better as their drivers do but it also depends on the lvl their drivatar is at so far. You can have a veteran player start that game who is fast and good but his drivatar is only lvl 10 or something low like that then when you race it his car will be crap. Only time a high drivatar lvl will be bad is if the driver was bad also.

Well, that kinda sucks, because my friends probably played just enough to have bad drivatars. Time to put my old burnout skills to use.

I have noticed if you have friends that play the game it does try and put them in most of ur races

I wish it didn’t. They’re the worst offenders. I think I’m going to have to go no damage for a bit until I get some better Drivatars. I came around that hairpin into the straight on Sebring. The one that’s highlighted in Forza 2’s opening cinema, and there was a car just stopped, and I careened off into the wall trying to avoid it. That’s the prime get on the gas spot too.
