I’m a points drifter and I dare say a good one as well
and I can also tandem really good to
but why do people who tandem say that’s us point drifters are rubbish and cant tandem (when I Can)
and when I meet a tandem drifter they cant seam to keep on my door “tandem” with me but yet I can keep on there door “tandem” with them on every Bend
but yet drifting on forza is scored by points?
(and yes I been drifting since forza 2 this is a new GT because when I got the xbox I could make a new one for free)

Valid point. A lot of our community is subjective towards one side kind of like a team that has a rival. They think there team is the best and the other isnt. Its opinion based. People should just enjoy yourself. I honestly never like points drifting, its just not my cup of tea but, I still respect everyones decision.
After all this Drift Lounge doesnt say Points section or tandem section its set as a general section for everyone.
Just ignore the hate others give you. Most people here arent against you its just there opinon there not trying to be mean.
just like there is people who tandem who talk bad about points drifters theres also points drifters who think they are better then tandem drifters so that can contribut to the fued… from my perspective ever since points drifting was introduced its took the fun out of drifting back in fm2 it wasnt about points its was based judgement points dosent take into consideration line angle and speed as well as the gap between the two cars therefor creating sometime an invalid judgement… my opinion…
I have never ripped on points drifters. I started playing on Forza 2. Just racing. On Forza 3 I did nothing but points drifting. Since Forza 4 started I got into Tandem.
There is nothing wrong with points. Points drifting does require lots of Angle and a good line to do well at it so there is still lots of skill involved. I think Tandem is just a higher level of control. For me its much more enjoyable and since I started a few years ago I never went back to points.
To each there own though. Keep on Keeping on buddy.

I like drifting. I like Tandeming. I don’t mind points drifting, but I often drift sections of the track that the points don’t count on or I try to initiate big slides early from the corner and with the angle being held you don’t get any points, especially if you do a lot of rear entry drifts.
I don’t care about the argument between point and tandem drifters. I’m just here to have fun and I’m more focused on getting better at drifting and controlling the car.
Here’s a fun little video I made on the Top Gear track. As you will see there are many sections where I would not incur any points, especially the second last corner. Massive angle that would cancel any points.

This has been proving wrong. Points Drifters can tandem with the best, and won comps. The Deviance guys from the UK, and some of the french has came to surprise many people. I prefer tandem over points, but don’t mind for points people. Points drifting is very useful for practice on line on a course.

But I don’t hate on tandem or points drifters I have Respect for them as I have Respect for people who drift or tandem in
RWD or AWD or FWD drifting
because after all its a game and you play “drift” how you like to NOT what some one tells you to other wise it takes the fun out of it

Drifters in general have been given a bad name by the few drifters who boast about how most people who play Forza drift, and often complain about how there’s never enough drift cars or drift tracks for the “huge” drifting community they claim is on here. This was seriously bad in FM4, but seems to have disappeared in FM5, thank goodness. We seem to be back at the point where drifters enjoy drifting, and racers enjoy racing. I hope no one is offended by how I differentiate between drifters and those who don’t drift, but that’s just how I see it.
There also seemed to be a lot of hating going on between those who considered or not considered AWD drifting as actual drifting. Not sure why people need to hate on each other for liking something. If people like to do something, let them - as long as it doesn’t impede on what others are doing!
It comes down to respect and understanding points drifting big heads talk up points and stir up tandem guys and tandem guys react to it this is how it has been since the start of the points system .
Us tandem drifters use the real life drifting and replicate it as much as we can .
Fact 1 : tandem has more skill in controlling both high speed low speed and angle
Fact 2 : points drifters have a skill of low speed and the knowledge of the best points line
Respect is the key without it theres fights and sadly the points guys dont respect the tandem guys and the tandem guys then lose respect for them and retaliate .

if you need to get high points you need to be skilled in keeping the perfect line and angle
you drift the line and angle at any speed not just low like what you think
I can drift the li8ne at 20mph and 70mph or any speed I want to and get the same points
what I all ways find is every time I run in to a tandem drifter they are all ways shocked that how much I can keep on there door
join a game with me and you may just be surprised of how much I can do
i.e 360 drift entry
360 drift entry and tandem
360 drift in middle of a bend and come up on your door
Reverse entry and get the high points on the bend
you see not all points drifters are bad no once gives us a chance to show what we can do
because soon as we say o im a points drifter you “tandem guys” or most anyway just automatically think we are bad

Theres no point saying points drifters dont get chances when its been stated that POINTS teams so to speak have entered DL run tournies and done well, they werent chased away with a broom lol…
Trying to differentiate the different forms of drifting will only fuel more fires…IMO

See where i call bs is any more the 45 degrees and your points get slow also reverse entry’s make you lose all your points cause the system thinks you spun out .
360 into drifts ive been doinh since forza 2 in a pt cruiser not that hard at all even did it on kiado made a vid of it look up noob bus on youtube .
Cute a pt cruiser. I freestyle in Hummers, f class, my famous e class 80hp leaf that has bet some of the top drifters fwd hybrid, any cars. You can call your self a vetran when you can tandem fwd awd rwd. Freestyle fwd awd rwd, reverse drift fwd rwd awd. Top 100 points fwd awd rwd, top 100 overall, owning a club thats top 10, clear out lobbies just by joining, getting kicked for being to good, getting into the biggest tandem comp on forza with only five days into tandem. Being the best in your country
