Drift suspension steering sucks

Anyone else find drift suspension to be extremely twitchy? It’s so sensitive it’s near impossible to drive…

Have found the twerkstalion to be the worst for it, which was my favorite car to drift in fh3 :cold_sweat:

Elite controller with simulation steering and all assists off

As far as I know you should only be using sim steering if you’re using a steering wheel. At least that’s how it is in Motorsport 7.

Simulation steering is only for a wheel, as stated above. Try playing with tire pressures though, soften up those fronts a bit.

i play simulation steering with game pad too , there is no need to steering wheel with simulation , it’s just a little bit harder to control
maybe you can use the other suspensions if you want more stable drift
i 'm not very much into drift but my little experience trying setups is with the drift ones you start the drifts easier but once you are drifting is harder to control
but with the sport one to me is “harder” to start the dift but once you started to me feels easier to control ,
probably you didn’t make mega ebisu D1 drifts but you can start gaining confidence in the controls and later pass to the drift ones

Use normal steering when on controller, simulation steering was made for a driving rig.

Mess around with the tuning abit, found the formula drift cars to be terrible out the box, had abit of a play with one of them and now its probably in my top 5 drift cars in game

Fiddle with the Caster. Also change Camber and raise Bump/Rebound Stiffness a bit (maybe add a very tiny bit of Toe) and as AintKare said, Tire Pressure. Sim steering works just fine with controller, personally I prefer it over normal so stick to that if ya like it.

I’d also suggest downloading some tunes and base what you feel/want from driving those. I have one up for the Silvia 94’ that I use for daily drift/free roaming. Check it out if you’d like

GT : X1XPopTarTsX1X

Tune name : WideRB26 .5

On any RWD I generally use beween 21 and 24.5PSI front and rear, stiffen up the suspension and bump stiffness. Max front camber and between 6 and max angle. Play with gear ratios to suit your style.

I find the drift suspension is good, but the formula drift cars are undriveable.
It feels like the steering is very inconsistent and unpredictable. I was hoping it’s some bug.
I can drift around no problem on a car I built with drift suspension, but those formula drift cars can’t drift or drive straight.
