Does Turn 10 even care?

From what I’ve been reading at Xbox Gold Live a player can actually, and eventualy end up hanging themselves here. Xbox Gold Live has a set of standards/goals that are set for each online multiplayer game. In this instance Motorsport 6 and the criteria set forth by Xbox Gold Live must be met to keep yourself, from giving yourself a bad player card while using Motorsport 6 Xbox Live Gold Online Multiplayer. I’m sure these people that love to disrupt games have all these “Red Flags” day after day on their player card at Xbox Gold Live from criteria not met in the online multiplayer, which every time they do this Xbox Gold Live can review their player card if they are a repeted offender, a judgement is made, and that players points go lower, and lower, until  their reputation is so bad their are no Online Multiplayer games they can join.

They are only harming themselves, and they don’t have a clue. Rest assured they will be here in the Forums complaining about a feature that doesn’t work with their game, and we will laugh at them. It’s really not going to do any good to complain here, you were doing right by going to Xbox Gold Live and filing a report there against a player. Now it makes it so easy for Xbox Gold Live to pull up that players card and see what he/she has been up to in the rooms at Motorsport 6 Online Multiplayer and see if that player has been meeting the criteria, or if the player has all these “Red Flags” by unmet criteria. Every little mark against these players that create havoc in a room will add to their “Players Card” score. Then it’s just a matter of time, if they persist to the point of always creating havoc, they could be denied completly of ever acquiring Xbox Gold Live again. Then that player will have no Online Multiplayer at all for any game that requires Xbox Gold Live to play. The havoc players better wise up before it’s to late to do anything about it. Xbox Gold Live can also tell by looking at a players card if the complaint being filed against this person is legitimate or not. They know if you been naughty or nice

This is how I interpreted what I was reading to the best of my ability at Xbox Gold Live.

Really makes me wonder if these havoc reekers actually know what is happening to them behind the scenes while their in these Xbox Gold Live Online Multiplayer rooms.

Just think about this before pointing fingers.

The game isn’t at fault and neither are T10 or MS. Forza hasn’t really changed fundamentally since the original title was released all those years ago. Your complaint is against other players, those that abuse the fact that FM is a largely open arena with few restrictions. On the one hand this “freedom” to play the game as you wish has always been one of the most compelling features of the series, however, on the other hand there is a growing number of people out there using this “freedom” to ruin the experience for everyone else.

So what’s to be done?

Many, including myself, would like to see racing rules and etiquette enforced within the game. Penalties, black flags, race bans etc. This would certainly reduce (but not eliminate) the wreckers but it would also take FM in a different direction. It’s a dilemma for the developers because in general games that try to be too serious don’t do so well commercially. I’m sure that T10 and MS are as disappointed as the rest of us that so many people can’t be trusted to play a game in the correct spirit but the fix isn’t easy to achieve. The game must still be easily accessible. We’ll have to wait for FM7 to see is they’re able/willing to make some changes.

Another one of these threads, not that I blame you or anything

If you’re looking for a framework that encourages clean racing then wait for Gran Turismo Sport, or hope that something similar is implemented in the next Forza Motorsport title:

I dont think t 10 is going to do anything…they don’t want in lose income and that includes a lot of casual players, they don’t care about the hardcore players like us… just my opinion.
