Worst horizon game there is… Would be ashamed to put game on market after 3 yrs… Do understand why make it so hard to play and make it a 80 arcade game… shouldnt be following ubisoft racing games. play the free version

My guess is they add them later like they did with 4. I personally hated ranked racing in FH4 because teams got a huge advantage when their bad players quit. Including the other team losing the points they had for beating those players in race. It would be like taking away a team’s kills in team death match when a player quit after having a bad game.
I do think the eliminator still sucks though. I want to play with friends. I’m not going to waste my time in the eliminator by myself.

Fair enough. I didn’t think the team racing was the best either, but free-for-all provided some great racing. There isn’t really any to be had elsewhere in the game because the AI is very bad quality, I mean programming wise. Whoever programmed it doesn’t know what they’re doing, to put it brutally honestly.
What about completely destroyed physics from H1 to H4? It’s like playing different series.

Yes, there ARE improvements, but there are also a ton of downgrades, back steps, or missing features. So, the new features kinda counteract the bad/missing features, but it’s kinda subjective on whether anybody PERSONALLY things the new stuff is good enough to over come all the bad. Personally, I think it’s close, but FH4 still had a SLIGHT edge. Now, when you through all of the bugs and broken mechanics into the mix, FH4 is DEFINITELY ahead

I disagree that the game is either on par or a step backwards. It’s definitely a step backwards due to all the features removed and that no new features have been added. But I do agree with everything else u said.
Of the two, which has just launched, and which has been out for three years and had dozens and dozens of patches? This kind of comparison is beyond idiotic. We have less than zero idea where the game will be in just a few weeks, let alone years from now. If we want to compare games, let’s compare FH4 at launch, to FH5 at launch, or just keep our mouths tightly shut.

Seriously, some of you amaze me. Idiotic comparission? so, we should not compare the next title in a franchise, developed by THE SAME DEVS, that is EXACTLY THE SAME as it was the previous title, but with a couple more miles to drive… we shouldnt??? what we should compare it with then?? seriously, some of you, better start thinking before you write because its getting ridiculous all the excuses fanboys and clueless people make up to justifiy the lousy jobs of the devs/microsoft.
FH5 is way worst than FH4, because as others said millions of times, it is just a copy/paste from FH4, the worst part is, they managed to copy things that actually kinda worked in FH4 to broke em in FH5.
How is that even possible? and how is even possible after all the feedback people gave em in FH4 that some things are still not improved or revisited??? i just dont get it, sorry.
How can you even justify a company like Microsoft to have this lack of concern and interest for their customers??
It doesnt matter if FH4 had a million of patches (and yet many many things still unfixed LOL). FH5, as a copy of FH4 should have been released with not even half of the bugs it has now. But everything is broken in FH5, i mean , everything… its ridiculous. FH4 was a terrible release, and that was completely unacceptable to start with, but FH5?? even worst a million times worst. Also it seems these guys will never learn from their mistakes or their experience in the job. Its amazing.
And more ridiculous, people still justifying anything. Whatever it is. I wish i could go back to the golden age of videogames where gamers were actual gamers and not marionettes driven and controlled by company greed.

Am I not allowed an opinion if it doesn’t match up with yours, oh lord and master of dung hill? I’ll go where I like, and say what I like, until or unless I am prohibited from doing so by the mods. As for this game being buggy, I’ve made plenty of bug reports myself, and plenty of posts about how utterly disappointed I am with the game as it stands. What I don’t think is remotely useful are cry baby whine posts where people just hurl turds at the devs, with zero useful feedback of any kind, seemingly for no other reason than to sow discord and be childish little clowns. But hey, Lord Master Arquibus says only people THEY like can talk so I guess that must be true.

The game wasn’t inadvertently released to then maybe end up becoming a step backwards. “IT IS” a big step backwards as simply there is no distinct innovation that makes it feel new. Every mode is either an amalgamation of previous design or has just been rehashed in a subtle way. A volcano, a few new bodykits and a few engine sounds that frankly don’t all sound great doesn’t justify 3+ years of development. The only players saying it’s the best racing game ever made are ones that can’t grasp immersion, haven’t invested heavily in the first and 2nd games and just want everything handed to them at the beginning of the game. That’s what Horizon is now, a never ending open sandbox with no fulfilling experience.

My guess is more that they are done with online racing. I bet they will add some other new features like playing football with cars etc but Ranked won’t be back and online/rivals racing features won’t be improved.

Yeah I imagine they may add back custom adventures which is probably trivial to do, but more significant changes like the return of ranked, or major improvements to rivals are doubtful I imagine.
They will add custom at some point. That’s easy. I’d be very surprised if we get ranked racing. It’s frustrating because if they put half the effort into ranked that they put into a fairly banal product like the Eliminator, it would vastly improve the game.
That said, the game clearly isn’t trash. I’ll probably try and do a full review tomorrow evening but, for the type of game, it’s still outstanding. Just always feels that it could be even better.
