DLK April PhotoComp - REULTS FOR OPEN SESAME Last Post!

This is the month that we all get credit for being what we really are…FOOLISH! We are full of insanity and comedy, given to flights of fancy and just plain silliness. This month we will examine some of these tendencies and try to form them into something we can display in a photo. Once again We are now giving away 3 prize cars to 1st & 2nd place, 2 prize cars to 3rd & 4th place, 2 cars for Most Creative and 1 car for Honorable Mention. This will be a month of fanciful mini comps, and different types of judging. Welcome and good luck!

As always we are holding this months comp in both the Media Forum and the Fantasy Forum. So, whether you post here or in the Media section all entries will be posted in each thread. For example, if you post your pics in the Fantasy section they will be listed here as well as there and visa-versa…so basically we are going to combine the two threads into one comp.

• 1. 2 photo entries only, each from a different artist. Collabs will be considered a Different artist.
• 2. Entries must be of a DeadLights paint (artists listed below)*
• 3. Final submissions will be accepted until 11:59pm (EST) the last day of the month.
• 4. If a set of photos did not win in a previous contest they can be used again.
• 5.) Horizon photos are ok but all prizes and credits will be done in Forza 4.
• 6.) No outside editing except for rotation. Preferred method of posting is by Flickr but any host site will do and Big Shots are allowed.
  Note – Please use your own pictures, use of someone else’s pics are a no no!

Note - Winners will be announced by the 1st Sunday of each month.

Mini-Comp: OPEN SESAME!

Well, as you know DLK member rockstoff has been gracious enough to give away unlocked paints over these last 2 months, a Camaro and a BMW. Folks, he is at it again! Now rock wants to give away this beauty…unlocked!

Now I bet your all wondering to yourselves “How do I get my hands on this hot little ride?”…well, I’m gonna tell you and it will be the basis of this mini-comp called OPEN SESAME. You are to take a DLK paint (preferably one of rock’s unlocked gifts) and cruise around Forza until you find a locked door or gate, or anything that needs a key. Park next to it and make us proud. Your picture will include a DLK paint, a locked door or gate (or whatever) and a defining style that says “Thank you Rock!”

Everyone that enters, and follows the guidelines will receive the Nissan unlocked. You will also be judged for artistic concept and composition…prize credits and cars are below. Comp starts now and goes until next Tuesday the 22nd at 11:59 PM PST. Now, go froth and conquer!

1st Place - 100 Million and first choice of car.

Mini-Comp: YOU FOOL!

Lets get off to an early start! IT"S APRIL FOOLS DAY! So lets do something foolish. Your mission is to find the most funny, crazy or foolish DLK Paint and then do something foolish with it! Some ideas for cars would be Joker, Harley Quinn, Breaking Bad, Blues Clues…(you get what I mean) and do something foolish like jump over another car or go backwards off the start line or wreck Dread or, or , or…use your imagination, if you can stop the voices long enough. If you like you can write a little story to go along with your entry if an explanation is needed. Now here’s my little April Fools…You get to pick your own prize car! That’s right, you can choose any car that I have listed in the last few months in the photocomp and I will make that your prize car or…if you choose a car that was not offered but created by a DLK member I will try to get that one but if it is not available I send you a booby prize. Fair enough? OK, get to it!

What Happend Here Well Mr. Bean Was Enjoying A Nice Track Day With Teddy He Had A Few Rivals Throughout The Day But He Scared Them Away When All Of A Sudden Teddy’s Seatbelt Broke Teddy Fell Off His Seat And Onto The E-Brake The Car Started To Loose Control Mr. Bean Was Trying To Get Teddy Back To His Seat But Had To Re-Gain Control Of The Car First So He Quickly Turned The Steering Wheel And The Car Started Drifting Teddy Made His Way Back To His Seat Ok But Did They Make The Turn In One Piece Sideways Yes They Did And They Both Went Home The End.

Where do i start… Still in shock and in sadness for the lost of our dear friend and best photocomp host ever.That’s wright Steve aka Doodley Squat you were the best!!!
We will miss you my friend!!!..
Yesterday some guys of the DLK crew including me came together to chat.We all talked about Doodley and bring up some good memories.Sudenly we realized the april photocomp is still running.
And we all agreed that Doodley would say: common guys don’t be sad about me ,just keep those photocomps running.Get those pricecars to the winners asap. So Steve, i have the honour to close your last hosted photocomp.So don’t worry about that mate.We ,the DLK team your best buddies are determined to keep your good spirit alive.We wont miss you…cause you’re still here!!!
