Just thought I’d make a thread to see how everyone is finding the demo so far. I hope the majority of you have had the chance to play it by now at least, and was wondering what you all think. At first glance and having played a considerable time now, I’ve got to say that I’m absolutely loving it so far.
Been running it all day without any problems i.e. crashes/freezing etc
Beautiful environment display and atmosphere
Loving the dynamic weather transitions/effects
Like how the cars sound/feel/handle (Noticebly improved)
The attention to detail and the little things such as collecting dust/dirt while off road and the windscreen wipers etc add a nice complimentary touch
Overall the game from the Demo itself seems to be running flawlessly
So far I’ve got to say that the game appears to be coming along nicely, even at this stage while it’s still a demo and not the final product. Personally it’s been a good experiance and its got me looking forward to the final game even more now.
How is everyone else finding it? Feel free to leave your thoughts and opinions.
Game does not start for me but I believe most of the peoples responses when they say it looks as good as it plays but I can’t even get the game to start. Iono if this has anything to do with being a preview member but it crashes right as I attempt to launch.

I am glad to play the demo but im not impressed at all. I’m a Forza big time livery painter and my desire to get the game was going to be weather or not I could use vinyls that I’ve allready made if F5. I’m not going to start all over again in the vinyl editor. From what I have read your not telling us about that for a reason and since playing this demo and no confirmation about vinyls I’m even more unlikely to buy this game. I’m a older gamer and im tired of no clear answers treating use like children and not answering questions about the paintbooth so for me and probably my team we will pass.
Wait… So you’re not impressed because the demo didn’t have a livery editor? And you will pass on an entirely new game with a moderately open world that you can drive 200+ cars through if you can’t import FM5 liveries? I just can’t see the logic in your decision… Well, FH1 had an import from FM4 option, so hopefully this will have an import option too…

Must say I think the game is epic. My only criticisms atm is that you have to go through the intro video and all the way til the first race to be able to jump online. But minor.
A much bigger problem for me is the camera position in cockpit view. Please t10 give is seat position adjustability. You can’t even see the drivers side view mirror and it’s like dude is literally pressing his chest against the wheel to drive.
Besides that the game is absolutely incredible , the graphics are stunning ( way over my expectations - no jagged lines at all ) and the in-game driving feels totally awesome ! ( played it with all the driving aids turned off except ABS , manual gear shifting - the way I play every Forza game )
The cars sound brutal and they look great ( noticeable better than FM5 ) , the dynamic lighting and weather system combine perfectly in order to create a very realistic in-game atmosphere.
…yes , I’m aware that the handling is a bit different from the FM5’s hardcore track precision handling model , but I love it and consider it’s a huge improvement over FH1 while also keeping some of FM5’s essential driving characteristics.
I already pre-ordered the full game little over a month ago and oh boy…I must say I’m very eager to play it as soon as it arrives at my doorstep because I had such a great time playing the demo even without photo mode ( this one will keep me busy for weeks/months ) , the full map , upgrades , online car meets ( like duh it’s only a demo ) so I guess that the full game will be insane , really looking forward to cruise , drift and race in a black GT86/BRZ ( the GT86 being my real life car ) with a turbocharged V8 swap while admiring beautiful European landscapes filled with traffic and drivatar cars from other FH2 players.
Thanks T10/Playground Games/Microsoft Studios for creating a MASTERPIECE !!!
Love the graphics. Love the driving physics. Love the effort put into the videos/story. Love being able to tear up the beautiful countryside. Etc. Etc.
I will be getting the ultimate version and downloading it early, waiting for September 30th.
I think Forza just blew the lid off of reality racing games. This one’s going to really take off.
Quite enjoyable. The physics feel closer to FM5’s than FH1’s did to FM4’s, man that Agera is twitchy! Bombing around offroad is a blast, it’s like the golf course x1 million. Traffic seems smarter, and it’s soooo pretty.
A couple of criticisms though: Night cycle still too short, and brakes are too grippy.
Overall thumbs-up, well done PG/T10. More like what I was expecting from FH1, doing gymkhanna around trees and whatnot.

edit: sorry to say though, that intro vid is so cheesy I may have Type II diabetes now (I already have type I, this’ll be interesting).
Probably best to keep the impressions of the Demo in this thread http://forums.forzamotorsport.n…3_Downloadable-Demo.aspx so that they are all in one place, Ians already asked for impressions there and there is more chance of him reading about what you think of it.
