Day One Car Pack: Tuned or Not?

“Day One Car Pack – This three-car pack features amazing cars from Lamborghini, Audi, and Ford; each with a Day One-themed livery and custom tuning package created by the experts at Turn 10.”

I downloaded them, and the first one I wanted to drive was the Lambourghini. Quite honestly, it handled very bad (using the Thrustmaster TX wheel). It also allows me to enter the tuning menu and most settings aren’t adjustable, in fact most are simply in the middle. We’re these cars actually custom tuned by Turn 10?

I would suggest they are upgraded but not tuned.

If you go into the tune they seem to have all the default values you get if you built a car with the same parts.

All three cars are better if upgraded to the next higher class.

Hmm, we’ll if that’s the case, that’s kinda false advertising. Would have been nice to see what these “experts” would have come up with. Still, I believe Turn 10 should honor their claim, and have official tunes for these 3 cars available at the top of the recommended tunes. However, I truly doubt that’ll happen.

Is there a Tuned By Worm for them?

Probably, I did them but quite a few tunes didn’t go through so I had to redo them at launch.

The cars are NOT tuned when purchased.

Well I love all of your tunes Worm, save for they are a little lacking in the straights and that’s understandable. However, any chance you could do a TG Wormburner tune for them that’s a little more straight friendly as well as good handling?

What one?

Preferably the Lambourghini. If possible keep it at the top of its A class, but if you feel S is better, you’re the expert lol. It’s my favorite car in the game and the entire reason I bought the Day One Edition. I was supremely disappointed to learn they weren’t custom tuned. I absolutely love how balanced and stable your cars feel Worm, but like I said the top end speed is lacking and they just aren’t competitive online. But again, I understand the purpose of that as your Tuned by Worm setups were designed for single player.

I’m not a tuner and have no clue how to make that Gallardo feel planted while keeping the speed aspect. I’ve tried a few things and it just feels all over the place; like driving on ice. I’d really appreciate your expertise on that car.

If, and only if you have the time, a tune for both the Audi and Ford would be awesome as well. But only if it’s not troublesome. Oh, and I play with my Thrustmaster TX wheel if that makes a difference.

Thanks Worm.

Recon if you want to try a bad tune before Worm’s I have an AWD Gallardo in S class that I made turn better (I think lol).

“Isitfixed?” That’s the tune I just tried. I ran 6 laps on Nordshleife and managed a 7:20.471. It’s a damn good tune for sure. The turn in is great, and the brake bias is amazing. It felt really good with my TX wheel. Only a small couple of critiques. Just a tad too much understeer on the higher speed sweeping turns. Just a minor adjustment would work very well I think. And I don’t know what part of the car settings determines this, but during those same sweeping turns, my wheels force feedback kicks in every so slightly left and right. It kinda feels like that car doesn’t know which way it wants to go. It’s not a huge thing, but it’s definitely there.

Other than that, well done!

P.S. I also did a S Class tune on the FM Gallardo back on January 4th, but that was way before I had a wheel. It was done with a controller so it’s probably crap. It’s still up if you wanna give it a try.

I will test it there and tweak it.

The back and forth may be the roll bars being too soft on the front. It is also quite an old tune so I may have some general improvements to make given I was tuning FM4 style then so it may need more camber.

I will make one later, give me a couple days though. I have to work tomorrow and it’s a holiday so I won’t be around after work.

Oh no worries man, no rush. I just appreciate you taking the time to work some magic for that Day One Gallardo.

Recon I have put up a tune called v2. I did not make radical changes but tried to address your issues. But I don’t have a wheel so can not experience your force feedback issue.

Just wanted to say you did a great job with the adjustments you made. The understeer is completely gone, and the force feedback issue is almost nonexistent. With your new tune, I was able to bring my time down to a 7:15.068 which currently puts me 889th on the leaderboard.

If you wish, you can view my replay to see your tune in action. I can probably shave off some more time as I made a few slight errors (nothing to do with your tune) from pushing it a bit more than I should have in a few areas.

Again, great job man!

Cool thanks! I’ll check it out later today after watching the Formula 1 qualifying session.
