No kidding. Having 3 dlc on launch isn’t too bad considering that the entire game is dlc for digital owners (by definition).
But this car pack? Really? Most of the cars are recycled and rebranded vehicles already in the base game.
The STI, the BRZ, the Mercedes, the Jaguar, the Rally Fighter, the GTX and the Dodge Charger with an engine swap are all already in the game. So what’s in this car pack that’s actually new or different?
2 cars? The tweaked out ice challenger and the falling apart fleetline? As much fun as I think they I’ll both be to try out I don’t personally see myself driving them much and I get that that is my choice. But $9.99 for 2 new cars? What’s next? First DLC after season pass, cost $9.99 per car?
I do. That would be fantastic. It would mean that the day one car pack is other content and we don’t have to buy this garbage pack of we don’t want to.
I read it wrong the first time. It is not included with the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions. It is available for purchase if you own the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions, and costs $9.99.
It’s kinda weird though - why prevent standard edition owners from buying it?
Unless… at least one of the cars in this pack is based upon a car that is in the real Day One car pack. The C2 Corvette perhaps?
I keep on hoping that they will announce that this is just a bonus and that the real day one car pack is different.
Sigh. What a load of garbage!
That will teach me for pre ordering the ultimate edition I suppose. Next Forza game, I can tell you I won’t be pre ordering or buying any deluxe or ultimate editions. I’ll just buy the base game and buy whatever DLC I like.
EDIT: I should clarify, I have seen every single Fast and Furious movie and it is one of my favourite movie franchises. But I do not need more Forza Edition or Fast and the Furious Edition cars. I want just regular cars that I can modify and use myself in racing.
Sigh, why is this pack (Fate of the Furious Car Pack) not available for Horizon 3? All the cars seem made for an open world environment and not a circuit environment.
Here’s hoping that it will be available for FH3 users in the future, as I like the Fleetline Special Hot Rod!!!
The FM.net article has been updated to now read: “The Fate of the Furious Car Pack for Forza Motorsport 7 is only available for players who own the Deluxe and Ultimate Edition bundles of Forza Motorsport 7, and will be available for standalone purchase at $9.99.”
Technically, they could. Through only making it available as part of a bundle for the Deluxe/Ultimate editions on the storefront, and disallowing it being bought separately, and only including codes in physical Deluxe and Ultimate editions.
Yes, but they already stated it would be available separately, which mean the plan to make it available to everyone. That being said, yes your method will work if they planned on keeping it exclusive; however, since it’s available for purchase unless they have some sort of method in place to determine who owns what version, people who have the standard edition will be able to purchase the pack.
Is it in the Deluxe & UE editions as standard with the basic version of the game asking for an additional purchase… or is it an additional purchase only and only for those of us who have either the Deluxe or UE versions of the game?
