Custom livery select angle

I’ve had this issue with Forza games for a while now, is FH4 any different? As someone who races in close chase view (I like to see my new car livery displayed) it would be great to be able to see this view in the livery select screen BEFORE I d/l it, rather than a side view of the paint job. Not seen any examples of this area of the game yet - I have been avoiding overkill on preview streams!

You can move the camera in the livery editor, Just go to the back and move the camera around into the position of the chase cam. I do it all the time when painting my cars.

He’s not asking about in the livery editor. He want’s to know if there’s a way to view a full car design when adding someone’s shared design to his car.

When you buy a car and are offered a livery, you can freely look around the car before completing your purchase.

When you search for a livery on a car you already own, it’ll download immediately without a preview.

I haven’t tested this in Forza Horizon 4 yet but I imagine the process is the same.

I know you can look around it before you purchase, but I’ve spent ages selecting and d/l ing paint jobs based on the side view just to have to rinse and repeat as the rear design is not up to scratch. Surely the rear art is the one most people see during a race so it should be the focus!? Or am I just odd?

Can’t speak for anyone else but I like to design my cars so that they look good from any angle

i’m hoping that for FH4 we’ll be able to slap designs on all cars , unlike FH3, where you’re limited to the number of paintjobs …
anyone got info on that ?

I haven’t seen that question answered officially, but I would assume there’s still a limit as there has always been in all previous Forza games.

Limit is the biggest flaw about Forza livery editor in general. We can’t even put more images on the area than we want to. It’s very limited and 3000/3000/3000/1000/1000 is not enough honestly.

LapisWave - Do you often find yourself short of layers? Honestly I could say yes to that on the 360 but not really come close to using all that’s available on the Xbone.

I’d be interested in seeing the sort of paints you produce where you’ve had an issue. If you painted on the 360, it was easy to bump in to the layer limit - that often just forced you to go back through your design and ruthlessly take out layers which weren’t visible or say two layers that could be replaced by one.

The layers are limited to 3000 but when you do whole figure of art in there like some anime character livery, then that can go from 1500-2800 based on colors/shades/shapes and character poses to make them adjusted by the shapes we have. Then additional titles can go from 100-500 layers (this applies to decals too). So yes, it is still limited despite the difference from 360 to XBOX One. We need to get something like hard combine the layers into one function or use image upload system from Photoshop or Illustrator

I understand there is a limit. Just not actually had a problem fitting anything in to that limit (yet). Do you have a gallery on here, where I could look at some of your paints?
