CSW V2 Wheel not reseting inactivity?

When using my new CSW V2 wheel, after some time while racing, the screen will go dark, I can hit a button on wheel to get light, but screen will go dark after some more racing.

Never happened when racing with my TX wheel.

Anyone else have this problem?

Yes, I have this issue as well with my Fanatec wheel.
I posted a topic on this very subject in the “support” section of this forum in hopes that it might be seen and fixed.

Might be worth while to post in that thread that you’re having the same issue as me.

So far I haven’t found anything to solve the issue.

This used to be an issue when the wheel is set to high degree levels. The game thinks you’re not registering enough input on the wheel, so it goes into power saver mode. So you have to jiggle the wheel etc to get the screen back on.
If you’re running high degree rotation levels, that’ll be the issue.

I have mine set to 540, which is the default setting.
But then shouldn’t the pedals and shifter at least be telling the game that something’s going on? It’s acting like its not getting any inputs from the wheel at all and switching the screensaver on. A, B, X, and Y gets it out of screen saver but I don’t use A, B, X or Y while I’m driving.

Sorry for some OT but can you tell me your whole setup (the Fanatec users). I’m going to buy any wheel in the next time and couldn’t really guess, which parts I have to buy, to have full working Fanatec setup for XB1.? You can send a personal message, cause I don’t want that much OT in this thread;)

Sorry and thank you,
Michael

When using the wheel. do you also have to have a regular controller connected too? Do you start the Xbox with the wheel plugged in, and a controller? Or a controller then swap to wheel? Or the wheel, and no controller?
Could be an issue with the Xbox looking for a separate controller input or something?

With my TX wheel the best start up for me was:

  1. plug in wheel, let calibrate
  2. turn on XBONE with only wheel connected
  3. log in and start Forza with wheel

never had a problem with TX

same start up with CSW except I have to turn on wheel before calibrate

current firmware 119 I think.

CSW after some tweeks feels so MUCH better than TX that I will put up with “screen saver pop-up” for now.

Do you have a Kinect? I think that would prevent your screen from thinking you have inactivity while you are racing.
